Twine : Listen to your world, talk to the Internet by Supermechanical — Kickstarter

Interesting, my fridge will tell me via email, tweet, etc. when the back door's open, when my beer is cold, dryer is done, barn is hot...  Endless possibilities.

GM Grass Killing Cattle in Texas, good grief..

Saw an ABC news article today, seems some of that GMO Grass is killing cows in Texas, the grass numerous generations later is producing Cyanide gas! "What the hell are they thinking?" The unexpected mutation blamed on the drought, (Hmm, drought in Texas, who'd a thought?)in a popular GM grass, Tifton 85, is responsible for the sudden deaths of a small herd of cattle in Elgin, Texas. Sad state of affairs for sure. "Quick get out there and burn all your grass..."

It's Summer alright. Nice ending though...

Workday today, 88 degrees this afternoon, cleaning stalls, mowing the paddock, clearing the side hill with the DR, and cutting many of the low branches in the pines (dangerous when mowing). Rose weed whacked for several hours while I mowed the back field using the DR, finished that up and did the main field paddock too. I'll take a couple shots of our handiwork tomorrow. Rose and I were still mowing when it started raining. We got through taking showers just as the thunderstorms hit. Luckily we didn't lose power. As usual the main storm split and went around us so not much rain here, we could use a good 2-3 hour rain. Sunset was a nice bonus and the doe and her fawn were out tonight too!
