By 8:30 AM Sunday morning it was thundering, and pouring rain, we're going food shopping too, great.  The rain stopped by the time we were done shopping, nice. We picked up grain on the way home from food shopping, later we reorganized the shed, you can walk in there again...

We rec'd a TORNADO WARNING FOR THE ENTIRE STATE!

STORM OVERVIEW
▪ Enhanced risk for scattered to numerous severe storms this afternoon with the potential for all severe weather elements, including damaging winds, isolated tornadoes, hail, and flash flooding
▪ Some storms could be higher-end with dangerous wind gusts to 70+ mph

HAZARDS & IMPACTS
▪ There is an Enhanced Risk of Severe Thunderstorms (Level 3 of 5) for much of New Hampshire. The Enhanced Risk area is driven by the potential for straight line winds in excess of 70 mph and isolated tornadoes.

The Tornado warnings were extended several time up until 10PM, with the threat gone I went to bed. 

Fed the deer while we were putting the new grain in the barrels.

Rose has water in jugs on the counter, radios and flashlights out, you'd think we've done this before, hah.

Rose picked up more yard stuff, I bungied the chairs together. 

All that's left is getting the drug of generator cords up from the basement, just in case, though we seem to lose power almost every storm.

Were having BLTs for dinner tonight.

Need to check the upstairs toilet Rose said it was running, hopefully just an adjustment of the float.

The storm had some pretty violent thunder, the lightning lit up the yard a few times, a ton of rain fell.

We had two nice bucks come in a six and eight pointer.

We had 5 deer com into the yard Monday night, in was just about dark so I couldn't make out the Doe to Bucks ratio.  We haven't seen any fawns yet.  It may be the bucks being around and the does keeping them hidden.

James stopped by Wednesday afternoon he needed a car to practice cleaning for his new car detailing business, he stayed for dinner, I went and checked his work after dinner, he did a great job on Rose's car, it's sparkling!

Off to bring Winston to the Vet Thursday afternoon, he needs more shots.

The Raspberry bushes by the old apple tree have a ton of berries on them, I'll have to walk around and check all the other brambles on the property. Rose and I surveyed the Blackberries on Sunday, they too are loaded, they'll be buckets of berries if the deer don't eat them all.

A doe and a pair of bucks came in on Thursday 6/27 late in the evening, pretty doe.

June 10th week

June 10th - 20th week 

The bugs haven't been bad yet this year, I put the mosquito dunks in the ponds, and spring, I need to do it again.  The black flies around here seem to know when your hands are busy and unavailable to swat them.

We've a bunch of Bluebird babies now joining all the baby sparrows, several grackles, blackbirds, chipmunks and the occasional red-bellied woodpecker at the jelly and meal worm feeder. 

Rose and I put a deer block out so the deer that come in to late don't miss out on some grain. Some are eating for two...

Late last Saturday night the bears came in riling up Zeb, I let him in the bedroom, he went right to sleep.

 

Sunday A buck came in to chew on the deer-block this afternoon.

The neighborhood forum says there's a 70lb bobcat running around the area.

Three large grey squirrels were attacking the deer block this morning.

We've got bugs, they're eating our Weigelia, Roses, Achillia and Purple coneflowers, we've got to spray today, looks like potato beetles except smaller and thinner.  Googled it, we think it's a 3 striped potato beetle. I'll try and get some pics.

There were two bucks in the deer yard on Friday night, this is the larger one.

We've been seeing the two bucks a lot, does not so much.  No fawns have been seen.

Rose and I cleared the garden and trimmed up some of the shrubs and bushes on Saturday, I mowed some of the field so if we do some fireworks on the 4th it'll be shorter, cleared the overgrowth up on the road so we can see better exiting the driveway.

A buck came into the deer yard last night, it's been a couple days since we've seen the does out there.

We're seeing a lot of yellowing pines, we thought it was pollen but Rose read an article saying that it was a fungus attacking the pines,a lot of needle fall in some areas, time will tell I guess.

    The fungi that cause white pine needle disease depend on above-normal precipitation during the spring and summer of the previous year, and we certainly had that in 2023, which is why WPND seems epic this year,” said ..

IT's FATHERS DAY!  HAPPY FATHERS DAY DAD!

Jarrod stopped by Fathers day we cooked burgers and dogs, we worked on the solar setup on the camper.

94 degrees on Tuesday, man it's hot, 100+ degrees on Wednesday then again on Thursday.

We put out the dogs pool for them, it took Winston a bit to figure out how to get into it but soon enough he was jumping in like a pro.

We went up to Mom & Dads on Tuesday evening to drop off his Fathers day gifts.  Dad took a fall in the basement landing on his butt and head, he tried standing up on a rickety old chair to turn on the outside faucet.  He's pretty bruised up, has more Dr appointments for Xrays and an MRI to see if he fractured something.  He was in good spirits.

The bears came in around 2AM this morning, Zeb crashed through the baby gate and came upstairs.

There was a baby catbird trapped in the cabana this morning, rose and I were able to get it out OK.

Suppose to get over 100 degrees today!

Thursday was the longest day of the YEAR in 2024!

We had some thunderstorms roll through on Thursday evening, I love them especially if we don't lose power!

WTH, EverSource just petitioned the state of NH for a 42% Increase in our electric prices in 2025.

Need to work on the camper solar setup, my battery has failed, it's OK it was 5-6 years old, it's time.  Still considering what and how much solar to do for the main house.  We know we can run 80+ percent of what we use on a day to day basis with the 3800 watt generator.  Two fridges, two freezers, furnace, lights, I need to work on the well pump still. 

I mowed the yard and some of the field today, went back out putting in Mosquito Dunks, so far they seem to be helping a lot!

- secretly shipping illegals into your communities in the middle of the night on your dime and then lying about it
- holding kids hostage to trans insanity
- tapping into emergency petroleum reserves
- prompting Putin to invade Ukraine
- secretly trying to force child sterilization
- printing 40% of the money currently in circulation causing inflation to skyrocket
- formula shortage for babies
- unconstitutional forced vaax for military and federal government employees
- unconstitutionally canceling student loans
- putting parents on a list for challenging school boards
- spying on Catholics
- trying to federalize elections
- granting parole to even more illegals
- weaponizing DOJ against J6ers
- cocaine in the White House
- bribes, kickbacks and corruption to the tune of 30 million dollars for his corrupt criminal enterprise he calls a family
