Lost and Found
We're mowing weekly still just to keep up with the yard and fields, if we don't it means Scything the tall grass. My back's still sore from my last outing doing that.
We got a bunch of dead tree limbs, Raspberries and wild roses cut out, boy did I pay for it, those wild roses are brutal. I was mowing the field below the barn and got stabbed with a dead pine branch, took a nice chunk of skin off my arm bled like crazy, Rose go me patched back up!
I managed to get the tractor stuck on the hill coming back up from the pond, I had no problem getting through the wet patch on the way in but on the way back I sunk down 8+ inches into the foul smelling swamp mud coating my leg in the process of trying to get out. Rose and I had to get chains out using the Tucson to pull it out.
We sorted the hoses going out into the field for fireworks "Just In Case"... We've only had one fire in the field, it spread 3-4 feet before we got water to it. We usually have a couple 5 gallon buckets filled and ready along with the hose now. The buckets are good for dousing any smoldering fireworks once we're done.
Sad day Saturday, I lost my favorite Swiss army knife that Ive carried for 8 years. My shorts had shallow pockets, I retraced my steps to no avail, could be anywhere...
We put in a bunch of Tiki-Torches in a bid to keep the skeeters at bay for the boys graduation party.
I need to see what we have for Thermocell mosquito repellers, we have several, I need to check on the pads and fuel for them.
Heh...
Whether it’s my neck, back, shoulder, knee, ankle, hands. It’s always something. Is it seriously gonna be like this the rest of my life? It’s so annoying. LOL
We're cleaning today, I did a poop patrol, TMI? It's supposed to rain later, and we're setting up tents and screen houses tomorrow. So do it now, or it's going to be yucky to work out in the yard.
Hah, we went to hit the hardware Store on Sunday to get grain, a hose sprayer and propane, I get to the car and the door won't open, the doors sense my fob and open when you touch the door handle :-( I pulled my keys out of my pocket, I have keys, but there's no fob attached, ugh, lost the fob, luckily the key from inside the fob is still attached to my keychain so I use that to open the drivers door, I look down on the ground and there's the fob, what are the odds. We get back to the house unload the grain, put on the new hose sprayer pull the car up front and just for giggles I look under the front seat and I see something shiny, can't tell what it is though, I reach in and lo and behold my lost Swiss Army knife, I'm two for two on the lost and found game! Made my day!
Lisa was talking about her butterflies, our Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterflies have just arrived, they seem to be all over the lilacs and bachelor buttons.
Lisa sent me a .PDF from Noah's graduation ceremony
Noah's so grown up!Our dragonflies arrived this weekend too.
We had 4 or 5 barn swallows flying about eating bugs on Sunday
It's MEMORIAL DAY! Today!
Memorial Day, May 27th 2024; to all those US military who have fallen, who served & gave their lives for us, for those they never even knew, for our veterans, for those serving NOW, thank you!
Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it!
Jarrod and his family are coming over on Monday to help setup tents, tables, chairs need to be washed and set up, etc. for the boys after graduation meet at the house next Saturday. It's wet out, been raining off and on all morning should make for a fun day to work outside. It was a working weekend for sure.
We concentrated on getting 3 easy-ups with bug netting up, Rose and Crystal scrubbed and rinsed all the furniture, everyone was soaked.
We had a hell of a time putting up the 10'x30' tent with walls, it did have steel poles much to our surprise, seemingly 100s of them, the top didn't seem to fit, Jarrod figured out some of the poles weren't inserted all the way into the pipes, we fixed that and we got the top to fit on finally, the walls went up, tables and chairs went in, lights and fans were wired up.
Rose and I both commented how good the dogs were while we worked, they were soaked too.
We got pizza and subs and had a late birthday party for Crystal, then down cellar for more tables and coolers.
James was telling me he's thinking about opening up a mobile auto detailing business.
It was great having six of us all working to get so much stuff done, Thanks guys!
It's supposed to be nice and sunny next Saturday, hoping that prediction holds.
Thursday we got a bunch of rain, it was to much for the 10'x30' tent and collapsed a few poles due to ponding rain on the roof. It was a quick fix though, nothing some duct tape couldn't fix, all's good.
Friday was party prep day, Lots to do, scrubbed out the coolers, table cloths were put on the tables, figured out the power issue, the GFCI kept tripping, I think one of the cords we were using was wet, I replaced that cord and all is working now.
We almost lost the big tent a couple times on Friday, we were getting 20-30 mph gusts that had the tent leaning precariously, it us worried, I took off several side panels that seemed to help.
Rose was in the kitchen for a couple hours today making desserts.
The boys stopped by with a pickup truck load of drinks and snacks for the party Friday night.
Rosie said late Friday night, we have all the snacks and stuff for the party out in the cabana, I hope the bears don't decide to come by, I think the lights being on would have deterred them, I woke up at 4AM on Saturday morning and poked my head out the door to see, nope no bears! Whew!
The Boys (James and Jason) Graduation Party is TODAY!
Rose and I carted the fireworks out into the field launch area! Jarrod and I need to figure out the fuse situation before dark and we're ready to go. Hoping the fuse works out well as manually lighting and running for a fireworks show is tedious hard work.
The Boys graduation party at Sawyers in Goffstown was great, food was good and lots of folks we'd not talked to in a while. We left around 4:30 to finish setting up at the house for the afterparty and fireworks. The weather was perfect the mosquito's apparently decided it was a bit to cool and didn't bother us. Jarrod cooked sausage, shredded chicken and pork, potato salad food was great, ROse brought out desserts our neighbors stopped by and a few of Jarrod's friends Rose's sister Carol, brother in law Mike, and niece Laura, Crystal's parents, Jason, James and his girlfriend Lee the next door neighbors, and Jarrod's buddy Jerry and his family.
Jerry Byam's 4 year old daughter was a hit, she ran around telling everyone about the deer and dragging them over to see the deer out in the field.
Jarrod the boys and I setup the fireworks out in the field, we used cannon fuse for the first time this year, we'll do that from now on. The fireworks were spectacular, the biggest show we've done. Everyone cleared out around 10PM Sunday is cleanup day, taking the tents down, picking up the fireworks aftermath and getting all the coolers emptied out and stored

We all had a blast!
Disappointing GDP reports have spurred fears that the economy is entering a period of stagflation marked by slow economic growth and high inflation. Inflation measured at 3.4% year-over-year in April, staying stubbornly above 3% since it peaked under President Joe Biden at 9% in June 2022.
Lying is an epidemic even worse than COVID.
Our president and his press secretaries seem to lie with every word they say and deny facts that anyone with a pair of eyes can see for himself.
Scientists and doctors, formerly among the most trusted members of our society, lie to foster popular environmental theories and get government grants, or to promote Big Pharma and deter people from effective treatments.
Our news media no longer report the news; they shape the news as instructed.
Here is just a sample of commonly promoted lies starting in 2020.
Masks will keep us safe from COVID.
COVID vaccines are safe and effective.
Oil and natural gas are going to destroy the planet.
Electric cars are going to save the environment.
Our justice system is fair for all.
Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation.
Trump stole classified documents.
Boys should compete in girls’ sports.
Search engines give honest results.
Protecting Ukraine’s borders is in the interest of the United States.
Our borders are safe and secure.
Israel is guilty of war crimes.
The 2020 Election was the safest and most secure in history.
Joe Biden is once again referring to the women of this country as “menstruators” because his radical base thinks that men can menstruate. Remember when he said he would be a “moderate?”
Fifty-four percent of Democratic likely voters would approve of Biden being replaced, a very unlikely possibility with the party nominating convention set for mid-August.
BBC Calls Latest Trump Trial “Weakest Criminal Case” Says No One Is Watching A Circus With Manipulated Acts
PRESIDENT BIDEN, WEST POINT COMMENCEMENT: Americans are strongest when we lead, not only by our example of our power, but by the power of our example. You can clap for that.
Rather sad.. but then again maybe it always was...
Nearly 80% of Americans now consider fast food a 'luxury' due to high prices
“Today, I join all those who loved him and all those touched by the civil rights movement he inspired in remembering the tragedy and injustice of his death,” said Joe “you ain’t black” Biden. It can be recalled that racist Joe Biden was close to KKK Kleagle Robert Byrd and even delivered a eulogy at his funeral. And don’t forget about Joe Biden’s famous 1993 speech when he called blacks “predators.”
“He changed the world,” Biden continued. “Now, let’s act in his memory.”
Queue the Rioters...
As the poll numbers get worse and worse for Joe Biden and his Democratic cronies, the odds on an “October surprise” gets greater and greater.
Geologist, Prof. Ian Plimer, demolishes the "human-induced global warming" narrative, in just two minutes.
"No one has ever shown that human emissions of CO2 drive global warming… And if it could be shown, then you would have to show that the 97% of emissions which are natural, do not drive global warming."
The Left’s attacks on Donald Trump have proved one thing. Americans are alarmed that because Democrats cannot achieve their goals other than cheating at the polls, sending the minions of the FBI and ATF to bang down doors at 06:00 am, or charging their opposition with silly crimes, vote count frauds will continue. They cannot be trusted anymore with the reigns of government, and they must go. Finally, Americans are further outraged that we must deny Israel and accept murderous, barbarous Palestinians in their place as equals. I’ve had enough. Have you?
Furthermore, the Dem operatives who are freaking out ignore Joe’s specific problems. Such as invoking Beau every chance he can get, needing note cards to get through meetings, forgetting where he is (and likely WHO he is), and lying about everything.
That’s a euphemism for illegals. 0% should go to them.pic.twitter.com/4d1UQUIyPt The American people are being forced to finance their own conquest and displacement. Our ancestors would have fought to the last man before submitting to this.
- What would you do if you wanted to poison the food supply by getting the toxic mRNA vaccine into chickens?
- You’d probably first have some sort of disaster where chickens (and eggs) suddenly came into short supply.
- Never mind the fact that the reason for that short supply was the (intentional?) destruction by fire, explosion, train derailments, etc., of all the chicken coops and processing plants, that’s not important.
- You’d then point to the short supply and you’d say we must vaccinate these chickens to protect what we have left!
- Oh, and then you’d reintroduce the “Bird Flu”….
- Remember how scary that was?
- Put it all together and you have the master plan, with the end result being mRNA in your food supply!
- It’s called the Hegelian Dialectic and they use it over and over and over again…
