James came over Wednesday evening we wanted to take him out for dinner for his birthday. He's been very busy working. We had Chinese.
We had a red winged blackbird show up last week, and Rose heard the Oriole on Thursday March 27th. We're anticipating the Woodcock any day now too!

Something scared Zebulon last night, he barked 7 times and ran to the back windows to look out, unfortunately the front door cam batteries are dead. 😟

Rose said the Starlings flew in Friday by the 100s making a racket, there were flocks of Robins out in the fields as well.
3:30AM Saturday morning it started sleeting, there were a couple deer in the yard, It's 39 degrees, and sleeting, by 4:30AM it had switched back to rain.
Something is moving the deer block in the yard, we haven't caught it on camera yet.
Ice is accumulating on the trees, we may lose power yet this weekend it's 32 degrees and raining Sunday AM.

Snow's just about all gone, there's a couple piles behind the workshop and at the end of the driveway but otherwise we've started spring clean-up.
Rose is raking up around the beds, lots of bark scales coming off some of the Colorado Blue spruce, we've never seen that before.

Friday Rose and I worked out in the front yard trimming tree branches, I think we unloaded 6 or so trailers of trimmings and leaves. Rose seeded the hill and over by the trailer that needed it. We transitioned to the burn pile cleaning up the area around it and put down grass seed. We did a lot of fall clean-up so we're ahead of the game this spring.
Saturday AM I woke early around 4:30AM, by 6AM the sky was crimson and the Woodcock was calling. So cool hearing them calling.
We're a bit sore this morning, lots or raking, filling in holes, and cutting roots! Still more to do we've noticed 5-6 trees down I'll need to cut up and move.

The skirmishes between the judiciary and the executive branch, particularly since Trump’s election, have escalated into a full-scale war with unelected partisan judges refusing to let President Trump govern. Although this looks like a war between the President and the Courts, it’s really about the Left vs. the Right. And the Constitution is caught in the middle.
Destroying the Constitution
The Progressives, especially since President Woodrow Wilson, have a long history of undermining the Constitution to meet their own agendas:
Progressives demanded that Congress delegate its lawmaking authority to supposedly ‘neutral’ and ‘apolitical’ experts. They then sought to shelter these professionals and technicians from the play of raw democratic forces by providing them with robust protections against presidential removal. Progressives take not as a flaw but as a positive design feature the ability of these independent agencies to subvert a presidential agenda and frustrate the majoritarian preferences that lie behind it.
When we study the actions of the judiciary carefully, the political left claims that Trump is creating a constitutional crisis; in fact, the crisis is an ideological one. The term “constitutional crisis” is meant to cause alarm, not define the facts of what is occurring.
Her attacks focus on the dislike for Trump and his agenda, rather than basing her arguments on facts. Aside from the author’s use of hyperbole, comparing Trump’s actions to the South in the Civil War, no evidence is given that he has attacked the rule of law. He hasn’t shown disrespect for the law, but only for the attorneys and justices who have practiced lawfare. And in fact, he is trying to re-establish the meaning of the Constitution that the Founders intended. Since his approach is unconventional, the progressives insist he must be wrong.
Border Patrol asked Rochester, NY cops on patrol for emergency assistance on Monday after pulling over a van with an estimated eight people inside. Rochester cops responded to the scene with lights and sirens, ordered the suspects out of the vehicle and helped put them in handcuffs, according to local WABC affiliate WHAM. It was not immediately known why the van was stopped.
But the completely routine police response was enough to raise the ire of Democratic Rochester Mayor Malik Evans, who held a press conference on the incident Wednesday.
“The officers on the scene verbally directed the occupants to get out of the vehicle, and this is against our policy,” he said. “Our policy is crystal clear. City police officers do not help or participate in federal immigration activities,” he added, noting he personally instructed Police Chief David Smith to remind every member of the force about the directive.
I would quit that minute. The whole police force should quit in protest. What kind of TDS-infected, anti-American scumbag would ever come out with a statement like that?
