SNOW!

Last Wednesday morning we got another 8 inches of snow it was 16 degrees

It was 11 degrees when I went to bed Wednesday evening. Wow, brr it's 6 degrees Thursday morning when I got up, it was up to 8 degrees by 8AM we leave the kitchen cabinets open overnight. This old farmhouse isn't insulated well, we've lost potatoes and onions in one cabinet before.

Our Huntsville Alabama plant is closed for the entire week due to some Snow and Ice down there on Monday, they don't have the equipment to deal with the weather aftermath.

Need to drop a car off Thursday morning at the auto shop for inspection, January is always crazy for us.  We always hope the cars don't need too much work done to pass the inspection.  Fingers crossed...

James is finished school early for the year!  He's all done on Friday this week, he'll go back for graduation but he's all done.

We were up at 4AM, and me at 4:30AM, I heard Winston barking, Rose heard him start whining, "I gotta go" starting at 4AM she let him out of his crate put on his radio fence collar and let the two dogs out.

8 degrees again Saturday morning.

On fixing stuff.. Work on it until it’s fixed, or so broken you have to replace it.

Both our cars passed state inspection without needing any work! YAY US!

We know we have a ghost upstairs, she walks around in the upstairs spare bedroom especially around Christmas, we'll hear her in the living room in the evenings. Some of our dogs have been less than impressed from the craking floors. We think may have a poltergeist (or an earthquake) we came home from a Pepperell visit to Rose's brother to find a broken teapot lid that apparently fell from a 7' high shelf onto the floor.  Very odd the teapots are very secure on the shelves.  I was able to glue the teapot lid back together.

It's January 23rd, we're off to Vote tonight.

The US Election process is BROKEN. Nearly two-thirds of all controls needed to ensure accurate and secure elections are missing!

In the corporate world all controls related to the financial reporting process are inventoried and tested annually. Trump’s most important accomplishment: three Supreme Court justices appointed (Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett) — judges who believe in judicial restraint and a strict interpretation of the Constitution.

Donald Trump Vowed to never allow the central bank to convert from hard currency to digital currencies if elected, because such a currency would give our federal government absolute control over your money.

How does it feel to have the largest government that the planet has ever seen?  When I was growing up, I was taught that we had a capitalist system and that we had a limited federal government.  Of course neither of those things has been true for a very long time.  Today, the United States has the biggest government in the history of the world, and it gets even bigger with each passing year.  Running that gigantic government requires more money than we actually have, and so we are going into staggering amounts of debt.  But there is no way that our politicians will ever agree to reduce the size of the federal government to an appropriate size.  So we are stuck with this system until the day when it finally collapses.

Let me give you some numbers that illustrate what I am talking about.

-Approximately 3 million people work directly for the federal government.

-The federal government spent 6.13 trillion dollars in 2023.  That figure is larger than the GDP of every nation on the entire planet except for the U.S. and China.

-More than 70 million Americans are on Social Security.

-More than 65 million Americans are on Medicare.

-More than 81 million Americans are on Medicaid.

-More than 41 million Americans are on food stamps.

Of course there are many more programs that hand out money to the population on a regular basis.

We have reached a stage where most U.S. households are at least partially dependent on the federal government.

We very much prefer not to call ourselves “socialists”, but that is precisely what we are.  Sadly, if we attempted to go back to the way things were 100 years ago, most Americans would not know how to survive.

The massively bloated federal government that so many of us depend upon constantly consumes enormous mountains of money.

Thompson “claimed” to have “turned over 4-terabytes of digital files, but the hard drives archived by the Select Committee with the Clerk of the House contain less than 3- terabytes of data,” Loudermilk wrote.

He told Thompson that his subcommittee found “numerous digital records from hard drives archived by the Select Committee” and asked for “a list of passwords” to “access these files and ensure they are properly archived.”

Rose and I have managed to stay healthy through the holiday so there's that.

Rose got me a set of drawers, think multiple junk drawers, my desk is overwhelmed with junk, just imagine... I got it assembled on Tuesday.

Rose goes to pick up her new glasses Tuesday then we're off to see if we can't straighten out the boat registration at the town hall.  Nope can't do it we need the Police to come and verify the Hull ID #.  New Boston PD came down within 30 minutes of my call an of course the Hull ID is an aluminum plate that was 30 or so years ago was illegible, so now I have to go to concord to get a new Hull ID.  ugh...

Both Winston and Zebulon are off to the Vets this week, Winston for blood work prior to his getting neutered hopefully in late Feb/Mar., and Zeb for aches and pains, we think it may be Lyme related from a tick bite he got a year ago.

I need to make room for my new Junk drawers, Life is messy, I'm a collector, what can I say.

We're getting geared up for Mother Nature again this weekend starting Saturday the 16th in the evening into Sunday night, somewhere between 0" and 18" is due our way... we got about 9"

So we went to Market Basket for canned Tomato and more Chili peppers for the Chili, and we see all the hamburg packages are now 1/2 and 3/4 pound packages, WTH?  I never saw that before, not a single pound package could be seen. 

It's Saturday in January, so that means Chili at our house we'll make up a huge pot that'll last us until summer, maybe, beef chunks and hamburg are cooked and now stewing with the tomatoes, San Marzano tomato, Onion, several chopped chili peppers, Cumin, Chili pepper, YUM, It'll stew for several hours, it's starting to smell good in here...  Chili tastes good so far, Rose said needs more salt, I think it needs more heat too.  Rose added a couple more cans of tomatoes, I grated a couple carrots to add sweetness, a red bell pepper, and a half a jar of red peppers, we had some for dinner, a good hunk of bread, sour cream to top it off and proclaimed it a success.

We picked up all the fixin's for Stuffed Peppers this week, yum...

We're off to take another run around the yard picking up various dog toys and sticks, cleared the yard drain of leaves, and fed the deer, there are at least 4 coming in nightly hopefully they come in before the snow flies tonight.  Otherwise the snowblower throws the feed everywhere.

Jarrod called this morning, he's got his new 4WD truck with a plow and asked if we wanted to get plowed...  We'll check the weather to see what's coming our way and let him know. He stopped by around 5PM and did a great job plowing the front yard, his new truck is amazing how it effortlessly plowed the piles of snow I rode shotgun.

We're getting 2+" of snow then rain, lots of it.  Oh what fun.

The carport collapsed under the wet snow and ice, we didn't dare put the boat in there after last year's snows did a bunch of damage to it.

Raining hard on Saturday, the yard is once again a mud pit.

We made up stuffed peppers for dinner on Saturday evening, they were so good.

We ran into a whiteout on Sunday after food shopping, visibility probably 50 feet max.

In Sweden it is too cold for the new electric busses. They invest all this time and money into something that doesn’t work because of the weather.  Of course, the electric busses use their battery to heat the cabin, meaning that the range is drastically shortened. Maybe we need some more global warming so that these electric busses can work properly…?

     US national debt has reached a record high – hitting $34 trillion for the first time in history.

    Data published by the Treasury Department Tuesday showed that outstanding federal borrowing soared to $34.001 trillion on December 29, just weeks ahead of Congress deadlines for new federal funding plans.

    The staggering figure, which is a major point of contention between Republicans and Democrats, is equal to $101,233 in federal debt for every person in America, according to the Peter G. Peterson Foundation.

The amount the US government owes lenders has increased by $6.25 trillion, or 23% since President Joe Biden took office three years ago. To put that in perspective, it took about 225 years from the nation’s founding to approach $6 trillion in public debt. The growth in debt has accelerated rapidly in the past two decades. It jumped by more than $9 trillion during Barack Obama’s eight years as president, then increased by $7.8 trillion during Donald Trump’s four-year term.

Did you catch that? Under the new “democratic” rules of the left – If you challenge ANY FRAUD, IRREGULARITIES, CRIMINAL ACTIONS, MISSING BALLOTS, MACHINE MALFUNCTIONS, FRAUDULENT VOTER ROLLS, LATE NIGHT BALLOT DROPS, etc. — You will face consequences.

Schumer snickered as he said it was nice to visit the Border, but if they really wanted to make a difference, they would be in D.C. working with Democrats on legislation to solve the border crisis. That statement sounds great and is encouraging until you realize he is not discussing our Border. What Chuck wants to get done is a comprehensive bill to address the Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan Borders and to allocate billions of dollars in aid for Israel and Ukraine. Chuck has no interest in our Southern Border. No wonder he was smirking and snickering. He was looking into the eyes of Americans and lying to them. It was shameful for anyone but deplorable for the Senate Leader.

If Democrats had their way, the judges would approve asylum, grant them citizenship, register them to vote, and have them sign a preselected Democrat mail-in ballot for 2024.

The sleight of hand aside, there is no compromise on the Border situation. Republicans want the Border closed and secure. The Democrats want it open and a fast track to citizenship for illegals. Those two beliefs are on opposite sides of the mountain. Joe Biden can say he needs more money to secure the Border. Lie. KJP blames the Border Crisis on the Republican House because they are blocking all of Biden’s efforts. Nice try…..Lie. Schumer says the Republicans must return to D.C. to negotiate a bill to solve the Crisis. Smokescreen……Lie. Mayorkas keeps saying the Border is secure. Stupidity……. Lie.

The Democrats are concerned about the Border, just not ours. They want American dollars to be sent to Israel, Ukraine, and Taiwan to secure their Borders, but they want our Border open 24/7. The Border is a colossal scam perpetrated by the Democrat Party and the help of the mainstream media to con the American people. It is working, but the walls are crashing in on this play. With 4 million illegals a year, America cannot withstand the assault. Like the Pandemic, the illegal flow has spread to every state, and Americans have had enough. This legacy, along with Bidenomics, will topple Biden and prevent him from a second term.

Dent issued another warning, stating that the “everything” bubble will have a long-lasting slowdown effect for 12 to 14 years. He agreed that “as the rich get richer” and the “poor get poorer,” the wealth gap in America will continue to widen.

The Democrat Party has created a fake and fabricated memory of January 6th. They did it with the help of ABC News, with the editors, camera crews, and the post-production people to create a memory that would be played over and over in the media to create a collective memory of an insurrection.

We know the then-House Speaker invited her niece (a professional photographer) to come down to the Capitol and photograph the historic event. We also know that ABC producers were employed to produce the televised hearings of the January 6 Commission for several weeks, and had a hand in editing actual J6 footage. This was designed to create an altered, fabricated memory of what happened the day thousands of people came to Washington because they were concerned the election of 2020 had unanswered questions. Not necessarily unanswered by a non-asking media, but unanswered, nevertheless.

Robert Reich considers our biggest threat...Donald Trump.

TDS is quite real.  The Donald has caused otherwise intelligent people to go bat-crap crazy.  The syndrome is a weird mash-up of obsessive-compulsive disorder and delusional paranoia.  The afflicted have a warped perception of reality in which Donald Trump is a supernatural being — visiting calamity on the Earth with mean tweets and a stern gaze.  I can imagine Reich sitting in his office at Berkeley writing his article, while twirling a couple of ball bearings in his hand, and mumbling about Trump stealing the strawberries.

Let’s compare Reich’s ten suggestions to mine.  You can judge who’s saner.

•     Veto any bill raising the national debt — to stop economic suicide before it’s too late.
•     Finish the border wall — because there’s nothing compassionate about facilitating human-trafficking.
•     Push legislation empowering the states and individuals to hold the federal government accountable — since the feds won’t police themselves.
•     Pull all funding to sponsors of international conflict — which shouldn’t even need to be stated.
•     Make congressional insider trading illegal — remind them that they work for us.
•     Deny bailouts to private companies and local governments — accountability counters bad decision-making.
•     Drill, baby, drill — for economic prosperity and national security.
•     Outlaw public employee unions — to stop them from funding politicians who give them sweetheart contracts with our money.
•     Pass legislation requiring that strategic products be manufactured domestically — because they’re currently made in countries that would like to colonize us.
•     Cancel all government subsidies of technology and research — because the picking of winners and losers has created only losers and bigger losers.

“I’ll say what Donald Trump won’t,” said Scranton Joe. “Political violence is never, ever acceptable in the United States political system. Never, never, never.” Unless, of course, the political violence comes from the Left — as it did with the Black Lives Matter riots, as it does with antifa’s mayhem, and as it did on the day of Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, 2017, when, as CNN reported, rioters “smashed storefronts and bus stops, hammered out the windows of a limousine, and eventually launched rocks at a phalanx of police.” Six cops were injured that day, and 230 rioters were arrested. But on July 6, 2018, the Associated Press reported that the government had dropped the charges against all inauguration protesters.

And yet, as Biden put it, “We’re living in an era where a determined minority is doing everything in its power to try to destroy our democracy for their own agenda.”

Finally, we bring you the idiocy of Joe Biden’s fellow Democrats — in this case, former New Hampshire Governor and current Senator Jeanne Shaheen. In a since-deleted X post, Shaheen attributed the following quote to Ben Franklin: “A democracy, if you can keep it.”

Franklin, of course, said nothing of the sort. When on September 17, 1787, Elizabeth Willing Powel asked him outside Philadelphia’s Independence Hall at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention, “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” Franklin answered, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

When it comes to “democracy,” the Democrats are stuck on stupid.

 

Border Patrol agents apprehended nearly 16,000 Chinese migrants who crossed the border between ports of entry since the new fiscal year began on October 1, according to unofficial reports reviewed by Breitbart Texas. This number is nearly two-thirds of the Chinese migrants apprehended during the entire Fiscal Year 23, which ended on September 30.

Since October 1, 2023, Border Patrol agents apprehended approximately 15,800 Chinese nationals who illegally crossed the border between ports of entry, the report indicates. Official reports from U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveal the apprehension of 9,844 migrants in October and November. This leaves nearly 6,800 who were apprehended since December 1, 2023.
