Fed the deer, threw some snowballs for the dogs, put some sand down on the icy walk and cleared the snow off the solar panels at the trailer. I'm still looking for a good place to put another panel.
The wife checked the oil tank level and brought up the HEPA vac so I could clean the pellet stove. We clean the pellet stove every month or so. I'm giving it a good cleaning on Saturday, it'll throw heat like crazy after that as the heat exchange baffles aren't covered in fine silty ash. We'll be ready for the cold February winter blast assuming we get one.
The Eclipse is coming, we got a couple pairs of CE and ISO Certified Safe eclipse glasses hoping we'll get a clear day and get a good view.
Saturday the 10th is supposed to be 57 degrees, wow!
It's the SUPERBOWL on SUNDAY! I like a good superbowl, the commercials and halftime are usually pretty good.
One of the blogs I followed reminded me that Taxes are coming up... I'll get Turbotax and have at it.

Rose's brother Jimmy went back in the hospital on Friday evening, then he's off to Boston where they have more expertise.
Stopped over to Mom & Dads, dropped off a deer block in their back yard. Hope they enjoy it!
It's Superbowl Sunday!
We got grain for the critters at Tractor Supply on Saturday, I got all the trim for the bathroom cut and fitted fianlly. I need to re-mark out the threshold trim, I smudged it so a re-do is necessary.
The yard around the house is once again a mud pit, between the dogs running and playing, the cars, the rain, and 55 degree temps everything is melting making it worse.
We'll load up the porch with pellets today, ugh, around 1500 lbs.
A special counsel appointed by Biden's own administration concluded that the president, 81, was too old and incompetent to stand trial for mishandling classified information. The bombshell report from Special Counsel Robert Hur described Biden as a "well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory" who struggled to remember basic facts about his life.

The $118.3 billion legislation, which checks in at 370 pages and which could also be called The Joe Biden Reelection Lifeline bill, is as full of holes as we’d been warned about. Among the bill’s ingredients: $20 billion for border security, the end of Biden’s disastrous “catch and release” policy, an expansion of detention capacity for families, a raising of asylum standards and fast-tracking of asylum claims, 50,000 new visas over five years, and a measly $650 million to expand the border wall. Oh, and $60 billion for Ukraine, $14 billion for Israel, and $10 billion for Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. We can’t make this stuff up.

- The latest story they are trying to sell you is that, ok we created COVID over in China, but what we were doing is basically “gain of function” research trying to inoculate bats in caves over in China. Why? Well, because what if some day we had troops over there in China and they had to go into caves, and we’d want our troops to be “inoculated” against catching COVID from bats. So we engineered it and then it escaped and got loose and basically infected the whole world.
- Yes folks, that’s actually what they’re trying to sell you now. Unreal.

One piece of deceptive wordplay going around right now, even on some right-leaning websites, is that inflation has gone down. This statement is deceptive because it is really the rate of inflation that has slowed. Inflation has still been going up, especially on items like food, just allegedly at a slower rate. In the long run, you and I are still paying more money. If only the Biden administration cared as much about American citizens as it does about illegal aliens.
The recent estimates on the staggering increase in prices of various necessities come from Fox Business, which provided much-needed context to Joe Biden’s assertions that the December inflation report was good news for American consumers. In a Jan. 12 article, Fox Business reported that food prices under the Biden administration went up a stunning 33.7% since the beginning of 2021.

The goal was to coerce banks, third-party payment processors and other financial institutions into closing or denying business accounts of clients that the FDIC classified as “high risk” or as a “reputational risk.” The administration specifically included federal firearm licensees (FFLs) and other firearm and ammunition industry-related businesses. The late George Carlin used to say, you know how stupid the average guy is? Well, half the people are dumber than that. This crossed my mind because CNN — I watch CNN so you don’t have to — was hyping up this Quinnipiac University poll claiming that (a) Biden is leading Trump 50% to 44%, and (b) Nikki Haley would beat Biden, 47% to 42%.
Of course, you don’t believe that any more than I believe it and, quite frankly, I don’t think the people at CNN believe it either, but the point is that they think the CNN audience will believe it, and who can say they’re wrong? The CNN audience is composed of the kind of people who would vote to elect Fani Willis as their district attorney.

The president has described Trump to longtime friends and close aides as a “sick fuck” who delights in others’ misfortunes, according to three people who have heard the president use the profane description. According to one of the people who has spoke with the president, Biden recently said of Trump: “What a fucking asshole the guy is.” - The White House declined to comment.
No, sick is someone who tries to divide the nation and demonize Americans as Biden has. Sick is someone who can’t find his way off a stage but thinks he can run again for office though he barely seems to know where he is half the time. Sick is someone who can never take responsibility for his failures and keeps making the same mistakes, like Joe Biden. Sick is telling the same lies, including about your political opponent, over and over and over again — even when those lies have been debunked — but not being able to stop.

If the program ends, banks that have been relying on the BTFP for liquidity may find themselves in a difficult position, potentially leading to a banking crisis or bank crash. However, the Federal Reserve has stated that the program's ending is a planned measure and part of its effort to demonstrate support for the banking system.

The Federal Reserve Board on Wednesday announced that the Bank Term Funding Program (BTFP) will cease making new loans as scheduled on March 11. The program will continue to make loans until that time and is available as an additional source of liquidity for eligible institutions.
During a period of stress last spring, the Bank Term Funding Program helped assure the stability of the banking system and provide support for the economy. After March 11, banks and other depository institutions will continue to have ready access to the discount window to meet liquidity needs.
As the program ends, the interest rate applicable to new BTFP loans has been adjusted such that the rate on new loans extended from now through program expiration will be no lower than the interest rate on reserve balances in effect on the day the loan is made. This rate adjustment ensures that the BTFP continues to support the goals of the program in the current interest rate environment. This change is effective immediately. All other terms of the program are unchanged.
The BTFP was established under Section 13(3) of the Federal Reserve Act, with approval of the Treasury Secretary.
Nothing has improved from last year, it's only been covered up by this program.
And interest rates are now higher creating more pressure on the system.
In other words...not good!
So...what happens when the safety net gets pulled?
- Step one, flood the country for three years with millions of illegal aliens.
Step two, watch approval numbers on the border drop below 20%.
Step three, election year is here. Decide you need to act now that you’ve let millions of illegals into the country and the American people are pissed.
Step four, line up some rhinos in the Senate to assist with the next phase of the plan.
Step five, work with the RINOs on a bipartisan basis to devise a garbage piece of legislation that would make the crisis considerably worse.
Step six, ensure the bill is so bad that becomes toxic for Republicans, so much so that even the Republican RINO leadership who helped negotiate it is forced to abandon it.
Step seven, message the doomed legislation as the strongest immigration and border bill in history, knowing the media will faithfully echo your propaganda.
Step eight, claim the only reason Republicans abandon the bill is because Trump wants to use the open border as a campaign issue.
Step nine, adopt your new 2024 campaign mantra the border crisis is Trump’s fault.
