It's finally here, Voting day, Rose and I walked in, no lines, no waiting, 10 minutes in and out!  Done!

Heather had a 6lbs, 3oz. baby girl on Monday! Congrats 

Rose worked in the basement, vacuuming and setting up my new Solar setup area!  Awesome! 

More of my new solar setup arrived on Tuesday, almost there!

The deer did not come in Wednesday night.

We left the bedroom door open just in case Zeb came up to scratch at the door.

Zeb's come up to the bedroom twice in the past week.  He settles quickly.

Picked up a 20 Lb. turkey at MB .59 cents a pound, nice they're on sale til Sunday.

Zeb and Winston were all riled up last night, I poked my head out the back door and smelled skunk, nope you're not going out.

Zebulon did not come upstairs Friday evening.

We're still VERY low on water, we still have water but we don't know for how much longer, we've talked about putting in a drilled well (expensive) around $6-15K, we'll see... we've only gone dry one other time in 27 years.

TAX bills are due this month ours just went from $5,200 to 6,200 per year!  The perfect Xmas gift.

We got the Xmas tree out of the workshop, raked the poplar leaves from the front of the barn and we put away the lawn tractor for the year! We stopped over to Lisa's house for a visit, it was good to see her. 

Setup a new Blink system, this one is capable of working 100 feet from the Sync module, mounted the camera on the eave of the shed pointing towards the deer-yard, it works...

Started building my new solar setup, batteries wired up, smart shunt wired in to monitor the batteries, about 1/2 way there.  Got some advice Sunday night from Jarrod and talking about expanding already (Solar panels).

Veterans Day 2024 - Thank You for your Service!

A lot of construction happening in town, after expanding the power station in Goffstown (Looks like a steam punk inspired contraption) they are upgrading and putting in huge Steel and green power towers and poles. Everyone is desperate to get their projects completed before the big freeze, me too!

Replacing the glass gasket on the front of the pellet stove turned out to be a bigger job than I anticipated (always the way) one of the four bolts was rusted in place requiring judicial application of a spray penetrant and a few raps with the back end of my channel locks, a hex bit in a ratchet finally loosened the screw and the glass was free.  We got the gasket in yesterday, I thought it looked small, holding it up to the gasket I removed proved I was right, ugh... Reordered but as of Saturday, still no gasket, damned Amazon delayed, now says not shipped yet!

The deer are only coming in every couple days now, most likely the hunters have them skittish.

Picked up another turkey at MB on Saturday, the one I bought a couple weeks ago is already thawed and with Thanksgiving still 2 weeks away, we'll cook up that bird on Sunday and freeze it while the new bird thaws over the next couple of weeks in the fridge.

Stopped by Li's, and Mom & Dads on Saturday for a while. His 90th birthday party is next week, holy cow 90 years old.

We called and talked to Jason Saturday evening, he'll know more in a couple weeks, but he's working on his out-processing paperwork now, that'll take a couple weeks to complete, he'll get a plane ticket and he's off to McGuire AFB in NJ at that point.  He may get home mid December for a couple of weeks we're keeping our fingers crossed!  He's psyched about getting to McGuire where his full time training will begin. It was great to hear from him! 

The pellet gasket that was delayed finally arrived, yay! I'll put it in Sunday.

Ill be working on the solar setup on Sunday, a couple of the outdoor LED lights are being finicky so adjustments are needed.

We'll start cooking the turkey around 11:30am Sunday, it was done at 3PM, yum!

Local folks are talking about Coyotes being around, we haven't heard or seen them yet. I'm psyched, kinda miss hearing them up in the hills calling.

I got my charge controller for the solar panels hooked up as well as my inverter wired in, I have the remote control and monitoring panel installed at the top of the basement stairs for easy access.

I still need to wire in an outlet at the kitchen island so we can power the fridges and freezer via solar.

I got the Solar batteries down to the basement, we'll start putting together the new system next week, just a few more components to go! 

Rose said, "guess what your dog did today?"  she was cleaning out the heating vents in the floors, turned to get something, turned back to see Zebulon standing there with a ball in his mouth, then he dropped the ball right into the open duct in the floor, the look on Zeb's face when the ball disappeared, Priceless...  Guess what I'm doing this weekend! Yup, taking apart the heating ducts to try and find the ball!

Thursday it's Halloween!  We went downtown to watch the trick or treaters, thousands of folks out it was a very warm Halloween night.

We're cooking up a pot roast today my all time fave!

We're picking up sand for the sand barrels today, we use it on the walkways, driveway, everywhere we walk basically.  Off to Manchester we go...

We moved 1/2 ton of pellets closer to the back door today.

We'll give the pellet stove a good cleaning tomorrow and fill up the sand barrels

We went to Yanni's for pizza in Hillsborough on Friday night, found out later that night James's girlfriend "Lee" doesn't work there anymore, she's at Hillsborough house of Pizza now :-(.

Saturday Oct 19th

Goffstown Giant Pumpkin fest was bigger than ever.  They shut down Main street. Rose picked up nice rocker at St.Matt's yard sale, I got a set of nice hedge shears from Samaritans Purse sale.

We actually took some time on Saturday to drive around and do some leaf peeping, drove up to Everett Lake Dam and walked out to the castle (control tower for the dam), stopped down to Gorham pond in the way back, they replaced the boat ramp amazing job this new ramp will last a long time.

We're raking leaves today, dragged 3 big tarp loads into the garden. The maple trees are still holding onto some leaves so we're not done yet.

I'm getting some of the solar equipment out of the camper. Brought the battery to the barn and put it on the charger.

We did mouse patrol again, 5 more critters, in the shop and barn, we reset the traps again.

Rose and I pounded 4 birdhouse posts in, tried and failed to pull a T-Post out, a chain and jack will be needed to get that out.

I got 2 new 12V 280AH batteries giving us 5x the battery capacity I have for the house solar setup.  They are much bigger than I thought they'd be, not a problem just big.

Jason called Saturday evening, He's still in TX, then off to his base, he'll be working on the C17 Globemaster aircraft. He'll be stationed in Washington, Hawaii, Delaware, South Carolina, or California once he completes AIT training. The Air Force will pick a state, then he's off to his duty base in a month or so.

I painted the pellet stove screen with a high temp flat black,  Rose my white tornado cleaned out my car. Nice!

Back to the basement to check on traps, we were skunked again, lot of mice out in the country.

Checked the battery charging in the barn, nope, overnight it was good though.

Rose finished clearing the big front bed, crabgrass and some raspberries were taking over, never-ending maintenance.  The finished bed looks great!

Rose found ash on the bottom edge of the pellet stove front glass, we think the seal there may be leaking, we'll have to replace the gasket.

The ladybugs are back just as Rose predicted, a day or two after the first frost. Not seeing as many stinkbugs this year.

A desire for change is in the air, but our economy is unraveling so rapidly that it won’t be easy for anyone to turn things around.  We have built up a tremendous amount of momentum in the wrong direction, and it appears that the months ahead are not going to be pleasant.

The pond is getting dangerously low, which means our well is too, only time will tell if we're waterless before winter.

Rose did some leaf blowing in the yard Wednesday, she went food shopping Thursday, a lot of the food prices are way up again/still, detergent too.

Kamala Harris never won a presidential primary and thus far, the momentum seems to be swinging for Trump.

Regardless of who wins, chaos is likely to erupt. And with both candidates suggesting they might be unwilling to concede to the other, expect the flames to be fanned by this.

Trump is self funding the transition team, so the govt can not insert moles. He learned a lot about the deep state, those mistakes will not be made again.

The cheating Dems, of course, know this is going to happen, which is why corrupt officials in swing states have been pre-announcing that they'll need up to 12 days to "count" additional ballots. They aren't just counting them, they're fabricating them. They need 12 days to cheat.

Friday's Fifth Circuit decision that declared all mail-in ballots must arrive by Election Day puts a damper on the Dems' cheating plan. Even though the Fifth Circuit technically doesn't have legal jurisdiction over all 50 states, its decision is a court precedent that can be cited by GOP attorneys in other states and expanded by other local or district courts. It's also likely this decision will be expedited to the US Supreme Court within the next 2-3 weeks, and there, it also seems like the Supreme Court will concur with the Fifth Circuit's decision. This would render the Dems' swing state cheating effort null and void, for the most part. Yes, they will still cheat in other ways, but without the post-election "mail-in ballot" cheating mechanism, the Trump margin of victory becomes too big to rig.

Democrat operative James Carville is the latest to say that, if Trump wins, Americans need to ‘take up arms’ against the government.

It is truly mind blowing how certain elements of our society are ramping up the vitriol ahead of this election. There is apparently nothing to which they won’t stoop in their drive to divide.

 

Wait a minute, I thought it was the MAGA crowd who were the “election deniers” and the “insurrectionists,” no?

Most of us know a thing or two about Democrats’ idea of “Democracy” because we’ve seen what the political left is, does, and means, but most Americans are not tuned in like that. Democracy is mob rule, and in the case of the left, it is either a minority pretending to be the majority through violence or taking the slightest actual majority and using it as a mandate for mob rule…Reinforced with threats of force and violence.

More of what they want as fast and as hard as they can get it.

Opening the border and not just letting third world countries empty into our towns and cities but helping them do it.

Using the bureaucracy to bypass the constitution or law as written and then whining about out-of-control judges when they say it is illegal.

Daring to question or contradict these or any of a long list of things earns you scorn, de-platforming, cancellation, censorship, ridicule, and criminal charges if they had their way.

Democracy to Democrats is, as Mike Benz described it, the elite or ruling class’s defense of institutions from which they benefit, and any threat to that will be met with all of the above … and as much violence as the left can drum up for as long as it can until they get their way or break everything.

Every person in America who took part in rigging elections from 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024 should be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned for life if found guilty. Every so-called "journalist" who actively pushed CIA talking points to try to destroy Trump and America should be considered "traitors" and prosecuted accordingly. Every Big Tech executive who took part in rigging search results, censoring constitutionally-protected speech or distorting interactions with the public in order to cheat in elections should be arrested and charged with treason. Finally, every American official who took part in the active invasion and occupation of America by illegal aliens should also be arrested and tried with treason, while all the illegals are found and deported. This is the only pathway to the restoration of America as a land of liberty and equal justice.

There is zero chance that Democrats across America will embrace Trump as their president, and there's zero chance that the bureaucracy will embrace Trump. That means Trump will need to slash the size of the bureaucracy in order to get rid of all the deep state traitors. Expect to see radical, massive cuts across federal agencies, possibly with the help of Elon Musk, the "Slasher-In-Chief." The IRS, USDA, EPA, DEA, ATF, CDC, FBI and a hundred other unconstitutional agencies must all be ended for America to be free. Shut them all down and send their people packing. End all federal benefits for those who pushed COVID lies, vaccine mandates and lockdowns. Make these parasites on society find real jobs in the real world, or live in poverty like what they inflicted upon countless Americans.
