We're watching Halloween movies this week

I got the Solar batteries down to the basement, we'll start putting together the new system next week, just a few more components to go! 

Rose said, "guess what your dog did today?"  she was cleaning out the heating vents in the floors, turned to get something, turned back to see Zebulon standing there with a ball in his mouth, then he dropped the ball right into the open duct in the floor, the look on Zeb's face when the ball disappeared, Priceless...  Guess what I'm doing this weekend! Yup, taking apart the heating ducts to try and find the ball!

Thursday it's Halloween!  We went downtown to watch the trick or treaters, thousands of folks out it was a very warm Halloween night.

We're cooking up a pot roast today my all time fave!

We're picking up sand for the sand barrels today, we use it on the walkways, driveway, everywhere we walk basically.  Off to Manchester we go...

We moved 1/2 ton of pellets closer to the back door today.

We'll give the pellet stove a good cleaning tomorrow and fill up the sand barrels

Goffstown Giant Pumpkin fest was bigger than ever.  They shut down Main street. Rose picked up nice rocker at St.Matt's yard sale, I got a set of nice hedge shears from Samaritans Purse sale.

We actually took some time on Saturday to drive around and do some leaf peeping, drove up to Everett Lake Dam and walked out to the castle (control tower for the dam), stopped down to Gorham pond in the way back, they replaced the boat ramp amazing job this new ramp will last a long time.

We're raking leaves today, dragged 3 big tarp loads into the garden. The maple trees are still holding onto some leaves so we're not done yet.

I'm getting some of the solar equipment out of the camper. Brought the battery to the barn and put it on the charger.

We did mouse patrol again, 5 more critters, in the shop and barn, we reset the traps again.

Rose and I pounded 4 birdhouse posts in, tried and failed to pull a T-Post out, a chain and jack will be needed to get that out.

I got 2 new 12V 280AH batteries giving us 5x the battery capacity I have for the house solar setup.  They are much bigger than I thought they'd be, not a problem just big.

Jason called Saturday evening, He's still in TX, then off to his base, he'll be working on the C17 Globemaster aircraft. He'll be stationed in Washington, Hawaii, Delaware, South Carolina, or California once he completes AIT training. The Air Force will pick a state, then he's off to his duty base in a month or so.

I painted the pellet stove screen with a high temp flat black,  Rose my white tornado cleaned out my car. Nice!

Back to the basement to check on traps, we were skunked again, lot of mice out in the country.

Checked the battery charging in the barn, nope, overnight it was good though.

Rose finished clearing the big front bed, crabgrass and some raspberries were taking over, never-ending maintenance.  The finished bed looks great!

Rose found ash on the bottom edge of the pellet stove front glass, we think the seal there may be leaking, we'll have to replace the gasket.

The ladybugs are back just as Rose predicted, a day or two after the first frost. Not seeing as many stinkbugs this year.

A desire for change is in the air, but our economy is unraveling so rapidly that it won’t be easy for anyone to turn things around.  We have built up a tremendous amount of momentum in the wrong direction, and it appears that the months ahead are not going to be pleasant.

The pond is getting dangerously low, which means our well is too, only time will tell if we're waterless before winter.

Rose did some leaf blowing in the yard Wednesday, she went food shopping Thursday, a lot of the food prices are way up again/still, detergent too.

And here we are with another hotly contested election between two candidates who are both deeply scorned by the opposition. In terms of unrest, it doesn’t matter who is announced as the winner of this election. Someone is going to be furious.

We’ve seen people with huge social media followings call for his death with no blowback from the Secret Service. Kamala Harris never won a presidential primary and thus far, the momentum seems to be swinging for Trump.

Regardless of who wins, chaos is likely to erupt. And with both candidates suggesting they might be unwilling to concede to the other, expect the flames to be fanned by this.

Friday's Fifth Circuit decision that declared all mail-in ballots must arrive by Election Day puts a damper on the Dems' cheating plan. Even though the Fifth Circuit technically doesn't have legal jurisdiction over all 50 states, its decision is a court precedent that can be cited by GOP attorneys in other states and expanded by other local or district courts. It's also likely this decision will be expedited to the US Supreme Court within the next 2-3 weeks, and there, it also seems like the Supreme Court will concur with the Fifth Circuit's decision. This would render the Dems' swing state cheating effort null and void, for the most part. Yes, they will still cheat in other ways, but without the post-election "mail-in ballot" cheating mechanism, the Trump margin of victory becomes too big to rig.

Daring to question or contradict these or any of a long list of things earns you scorn, de-platforming, cancellation, censorship, ridicule, and criminal charges if they had their way.

Democracy to Democrats is, as Mike Benz described it, the elite or ruling class’s defense of institutions from which they benefit, and any threat to that will be met with all of the above … and as much violence as the left can drum up for as long as it can until they get their way or break everything.

Every person in America who took part in rigging elections from 2018, 2020, 2022 and 2024 should be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned for life if found guilty. Every so-called "journalist" who actively pushed CIA talking points to try to destroy Trump and America should be considered "traitors" and prosecuted accordingly. Every Big Tech executive who took part in rigging search results, censoring constitutionally-protected speech or distorting interactions with the public in order to cheat in elections should be arrested and charged with treason. Finally, every American official who took part in the active invasion and occupation of America by illegal aliens should also be arrested and tried with treason, while all the illegals are found and deported. This is the only pathway to the restoration of America as a land of liberty and equal justice.

There is zero chance that Democrats across America will embrace Trump as their president, and there's zero chance that the bureaucracy will embrace Trump. That means Trump will need to slash the size of the bureaucracy in order to get rid of all the deep state traitors. Expect to see radical, massive cuts across federal agencies, possibly with the help of Elon Musk, the "Slasher-In-Chief." The IRS, USDA, EPA, DEA, ATF, CDC, FBI and a hundred other unconstitutional agencies must all be ended for America to be free. Shut them all down and send their people packing. End all federal benefits for those who pushed COVID lies, vaccine mandates and lockdowns. Make these parasites on society find real jobs in the real world, or live in poverty like what they inflicted upon countless Americans.

Mice are trying to come in everywhere, the house, barn, shed, camper, workshop,  for the winter. It's a battle!

I emptied the dehumidifier in the camper trailer, sprayed all the external locks with a lubricant to keep them working. I found 3 mice in the trap there. I'll check the traps on the basement on Sunday, I found 3 mice there too.

Rose sprayed the side compartments in the trailer with a mint spray mice are supposed to hate it.

We got some more rain Sunday, and Monday, good for my new grass on the hill.

Lots of folks power still out from the winds on Saturday in the surrounding area.  We didn't lose power thankfully!

I took the A/C out of the bedroom, it's time.  Usually as soon as I do this we get a string of 80+ degree days, we can only hope.

Hit the barn and put down a couple rat traps, over to the workshop (found 3 more mice in traps) to put out more mousetraps, hit the shed as well on the way back while Rose fed the deer.

Up to the attic we go, no signs of mice up there. We set a couple traps and were done.

I haven't heard anything gnawing in in the walls for two days so we're hoping we got most/all of them. 

Sunday we were in the basement shutting off the outside faucets, found a braided hose starting to drip at the house water filter, we had some we bought to replace the water heater hoses so that's replaced.

Jason called us Wednesday evening! It was awesome hearing from him, he sounded great!  He said he didn't mind basic, he's in good shape!  We're so proud of him! He'll be headed to Sheppard Air Force Base (It is the largest training base, Air Education and Training Command in TX for AIT training, hasn't decided where he wants to be stationed after that, he said someplace Colder he said! Texas is HOT!  Rose said "he's wearing his BCG's", I asked what's that?, she said Military issue Birth Control Glasses.  LOL...

In January 2025, Vice-President Kamala Harris will be in charge of certifying the election.  In other words, if Donald Trump wins the person that he was running against will be in charge of certifying his victory.  This is a major defect in our system, and it could potentially set the stage for widespread chaos if things do not go smoothly.

When the FBI originally released the “final” crime data for 2022 in September 2023, it reported that the nation’s violent crime rate fell by 2.1%. This quickly became, and remains, a Democratic Party talking point to counter Donald Trump’s claims of soaring crime.

But the FBI has quietly revised those numbers, releasing new data that shows violent crime increased in 2022 by 4.5%. The new data includes thousands more murders, rapes, robberies, and aggravated assaults.

While the FBI claims that serious violent crime has fallen by 5.8% since Biden took office, the NCVS numbers show that total violent crime has risen by 55.4%. Rapes are up by 42%, robbery by 63%, and aggravated assault by 55% during Biden’s term. Since the NCVS started, the largest previous increase over three years was 27% in 2006, so the increase under Biden was slightly more than twice as large.

When asked on The View what changes she would make to Biden’s policies, Kamala Harris responded, “Not a thing that comes to mind.”

Beyond showing a lack of preparation for even the most basic interview questions, this answer confirms what many already suspected: Kamala’s policies would simply be a continuation of Biden’s, but worse.

Kamala Harris runs commercials that identify her plans for the economy.  The United States has experienced high inflation caused by the government printing press during the Biden-Harris years.  Her solutions include a mix of scapegoating and even more federal spending.

(1) These plans include “going after price-gougers.”  Harris and her handlers do not acknowledge the government printing press as the cause of inflation. 

(2) Kamala Harris has promised to crack down on landlords who charge “too much” for rent.  The obvious question would be how much is too much.  There are thousands of real estate markets in the United States.  Each one is subject to the law of supply and demand.  The market price for rent is different in each location.  How would the Harris administration determine the proper rent amount in each market?

Harris’s proposals are nothing new.  They promise the same nightmares, corruption, inflation, and business as usual that brought us to our current situation.  That she would announce them in an expensive ad indicates that the Democrats have learned nothing from the past four years or the more remote history of their own governance.  They believe that their base has learned nothing, either.  But this election might indicate to what extent their base has absorbed the lessons of the Biden-Harris administration.
