April Showers 2022
The first Tree Swallow scout came in today...April 10th, 8th-12th of April every single year! We'll have 6 or so in a few days.
We were at the feed store Sunday and picked up seed potatoes for us and Jarrod. Rose got her Zinnia seeds as well.
I was out with the dogs two nights this week, I did some night crawling in the front yard, flashlight on low tiptoeing around there were lots of worms "night crawlers" up on the late dew dampened grass. The trick is to grab the worm before the bright part of your light hits them, you see the slime on them glinting in the light. I managed to grab a few before they slithered back into their hole in the ground, I dropped them in the garden but fishing season is upon us too, so I'll start saving them... Opening day for trout ponds is next Saturday the 23rd!
Rose is busy, busy clearing out the back of the house perennial beds. Pulling tables and chairs from their long winter nap in the barn. She's got some new crafts that are pretty cool too that she's working on. I'll post pics when she's done!
Our owl wind sculpture is back up in the front yard as are some of the other wind powered sculptures, it's good to see those again.
I got home from work last Monday determined to get taxes done, nope, I finally finished up today Sunday 4/16. Off to the Post Office today to get it postmarked...
There was deer forage seed to spread out in the field, and Bug B gone in the field and yard to keep the ticks at bay. And as long as the spreader was out of the barn there was grass seed to spread on the front and back lawns that are quite bare right now. $39 per bag for grass seed... Yikes, and that's the small bag.
Our Pussy Willows have gone by now...

We're off to Home Depot today, the ice this winter came crashing off the roof and smashed the light on the front of the kitchen. More tick Bug B Gone for the yard. And a few other things.
POLITICKING
Our retarded government is talking about requiring all chickens to be vaccinated and no backyard poultry either... Think that through. Chicks are available, prices are similar to last year, $399 each for broilers.
Biden's amazing economy!
