Yikes, a large plain Pizza in town is now $14...   A small pizza is $10.00.

We used to go to C&S Pizza in Pepperell a small cheese was $.99 ea back in the 70s.   Damn we're getting old...

Rosie is packing up the Christmas ornaments this weekend, I cleared the snow off of the pellets and moved a 1/2 ton to the dog house porch.

Speaking of expensive, drinks at the local Chinese food place for a Kahlua drink is $9.00 now, I guess we're drinking at home now...

Oh, the allure of a humble nap...

Now for some obligatory Deer Pics, the three deer cam in early Sunday evening, one lagging behind so she's not in any of these pics.  They didn't stick around long, I was making them nervous.  They are much more carefree with Rose.

We had four visitors Saturday evening, two large does and the much smaller twins from last year.

Woke up on Saturday Feb 4th to -14 degrees without wind chill.  yikes...

We lost power 3x on Saturday, it came back on right away each time though, I really didn't feel like starting the genny up.

Sunday morning early it felt warmer at around nine degrees, I sat in the silence, enjoying the stillness of the day before the world wakes, I listen to the water flowing over the dam on the other side of RT114 before day breaks, the wind has gone... 

Politicking

One has to wonder why Americans even pay taxes at this point!

In a new survey conducted in January, Americans said the government/poor leadership is “the most important problem facing this country today.” The second most important problem cited is inflation. 

Why is Hunter only now coming clean, long after even the dead-enders at The New York Times and The Washington Post have grudgingly admitted that the laptop is legit?

If we had to speculate, we’d say it’s because he has nowhere else to go. After all, the corrupt, Big Tech-colluding, election-interfering water-carriers at the FBI have been exposed, and those 50-odd former “senior intelligence” yes-men — the ones who signed that infamous letter in which they pathetically claimed that the New York Post’s original blockbuster story about the laptop “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation” — have also been thoroughly discredited.

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.” COVID hoax anyone? Make sure you mask up! Keep getting those boosters!

It should be noted that from Bush 41 to Biden, (really going back to the days of Woodrow Wilson) with the exception of Donald J. Trump, this nation has been subjected to one hobgoblin after another, one war after another, and one domestic crisis after another. It begs the question, Why?

ECONOMY

The most troubling information in the GDP report is the precipitous drop in real disposable income, which fell over $1 trillion in 2022. For context, this is the second-largest percentage drop in real disposable income ever, behind only 1932, the worst year of the Great Depression.

Although the president said he takes no blame for inflation, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in January 2021 when he took office was 1.4%, compared to 6.5% in December 2022.

A report released by the Heritage Foundation on Thursday revealed that the average American household has lost the equivalent of $7,400 in annual income since Biden took office in 2021.

Fed policymakers have also voted to raise interest rates to around 4.5%, with another raise in the rate reportedly coming soon.

I can’t take it anymore.  Fake numbers that are released by the government get turned into fake news by the corporate media, and many Americans don’t even realize that they are being conned.  Major news outlets all over the country are breathlessly trumpeting the “blockbuster jobs report” as if it is a sign from heaven that good economic times are ahead.  We are being told that the U.S. economy added 517,000 jobs last month, but that isn’t true.  Sadly, the truth is that the U.S. economy actually lost 2.5 million jobs in January.  Yes, you read that correctly.  So how in the world does a loss of 2.5 million jobs become a “gain” of 517,000 jobs?  Every month, government bureaucrats apply “adjustments” to the numbers that they believe are appropriate, and at this point their “adjustments” have become so absurd that they have turned the monthly employment report into a total farce.

Pfizer Exposed For Exploring "Mutating" COVID-19 Virus For New Vaccines Via 'Directed Evolution'

Senator Ron Johnson on Thursday called for Congress to investigate vaccine manufacturers and the Covid vax approval process in response to Project Veritas’ explosive undercover video exposing Pfizer’s alleged plans to ‘mutate’ the Covid virus. Pfizer is experimenting with dangerous gain-of-function on Covid-19, according to a director of research for the Pharma company.

The National Institutes of Health failed to provide adequate oversight of an American organization that funded controversial research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China, according to a new government report that is sure to raise new questions about the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The report is evidence of “major failures in past NIH oversight of high-risk research on enhanced potential pandemic pathogens,” Rutgers molecular biologist Richard Ebright told Yahoo News in an email.

I doubt that many Americans — even the masses sunk in vaccine smuggery and obsessive Trump-o-phobia — believe that America’s Ukraine project is working out for us. Of course, to even begin thinking about this debacle, you must at least suspect that our government is lying about virtually everything it has its hand in. Name something it is not lying about, I dare you.  The tank proffer is, sad to say (for the dignity of our country), a joke, kind of a last feeble pretense before the whole thing ends in ignominy for the “Joe Biden” team — whoever that actually is. The repercussions are liable to be ugly for our country, not necessarily in terms of more military trouble in other lands (which we probably lack the capacity to engage in now), but something more personal: the collapse of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency and a vicious loss of purchasing power here at home. That would provoke a situation worse than the Great Depression of the 1930s, and that’s probably where things are going.

Border Patrol working in the north of the US have reported a 743 percent rise in migrant encounters compared to the same period a year ago.

Robert Garcia, the chief patrol agent for the Swanton Sector – which covers Vermont, New York and New Hampshire – said he was troubled by the increasing popularity of the people-smuggling route.
