October already...

 October already...

James texted me on Tuesday to say that he started a lawn care business up with a couple friends, mowing and picking up leaves. Jarrod got'em a lawnmower, we'll see what else we have as far as equipment to get them started.

The Bear still hasn't come back, that's good, we need to get grain this weekend.

"Jill the sparrow" has taken up the roosting spot that Jack sparrow occupied previously.  She's far more skittish than Jack was. Jack Sparrow hasn't been back...

We're still working on putting the farm to bed, lots to do...  We're cutting down some Maple branches that lay on the roof when they get wet/snowed on, they grow fast.  We'll spray a bit of moss on the South roof on Saturday.

Rose got the AC out of the bedroom window and all the lawn ornaments picked up.

Food prices are still going up, it's amazing $4.99 for a box of cereal...

Eggs are now $4.29 a dozen now for the regular MB store eggs...

And the ladybugs are back, the front of the house was covered. We're just starting to see stinkbugs too.

We got another frost Sunday night, this one was not confined to the lower field area, even the backyard was frosted.

I heard either the Fishercat or the Bobcat, a hair-raising scream, the second time I heard it it was more catlike.  Not sure which it was...

We went on leaf peaping drive Sunday afternoon we have better color here...

Tuesday morning, our with the dogs at 5AM, Frost and 39 degrees Brrr...

Friday morning a Sharp shinned hawk missed a squirrel, he misjudged his approach and over flew the squirrel by a couple feet and landed in the burn pile.

Possibly a sharp shinned hawk
The one that got away...

Friday night Oct 14th we were SKUNKED again, Hannah and Zebulon were running around like crazy noses to the ground, we weren't worried we hadn't seen the skunk in weeks, we were wrong!  Zeb and Hannah ran into the run-in shed and all of a sudden Zeb came out of the shed and was rubbing his face in the grass, that's when we smelled the skunk. Oh no not again, Zeb didn't smell to bad no bath necessary, getting Hannah out away from the shed took more time, Rose wiped their faces down to make sure they didn't get any in their eyes... Seems the skunk let loose with the obnoxious spray but didn't get them directly thankfully, we didn't want to give baths late in the evening.

The bear after being gone a week or so came in last night and knocked over both feed barrels luckily the were both pretty much empty.  The barrels were upright when we went in for the evening, he must have came in late.  You can see the galvanized metal barrels on the ground in the background.

The leaves are about 40% on the ground from the two maples now, we probably need to start round one of raking, vacuuming them up this weekend if everything dries up on Saturday.

POLITICAL FODDER

47.6 million Americans are about to have their food stamp benefits cut, and most of them have absolutely no idea that it is about to happen.

Needless to say, a lot of them are going to be very angry when they discover that they cannot buy as much food for their families anymore. The reason that this is happening is because a temporary boost to food stamp benefits that was put in during the last recession is expiring. But most of the people that are having their benefits cut will not understand this.

Biden: Nuclear 'Armageddon' risk highest since '62 crisis

Biden said today that "the risk of nuclear Armageddon is at the highest level since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis.".... and that the Russian leader was “not joking when he talks about the use of tactical nuclear weapons or biological or chemical weapons.”

Democrats are operating a series of 51 'fake news' websites pushing left-wing stories in toss-up states in a bid to turn the midterms in their favor, shocking investigation finds

Biden Administration Propaganda Plan to Push COVID Vaccine
Global Research  /  Judicial Watch

Judicial Watch announced today that it received 249 pages of records from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) detailing the extensive media plans for a propaganda campaign to push the COVID-19 vaccine.

Over and over again, we are being told that there is nothing to be concerned about and that our leaders have everything under control.  But then we keep getting more signs that more war is coming.  In fact, it appears that preparations are being made for scenarios that would have once been unthinkable.
By now, you have probably heard that the U.S. national debt has hit 31 trillion dollars.  To be more precise, as I write this article the U.S. national debt is currently sitting at $31,142,591,307,260.01.  It is the largest single debt in the history of the world, and given enough time it would completely destroy our economy all by itself.  Unfortunately, hardly anyone in Washington seems to care about our rapidly exploding debt at this point.
While everyday Americans struggle to make ends meet and face record high gas prices, Brain-Dead Biden thought it would be a good idea to tweet a picture of himself behind the wheel of his gas guzzling classic sports car with a caption claiming he is “building a better America”.
There are no positives for Democrats in 2022, which makes it difficult to understand why any Democrat is leading in any race.

The Left thinks that vetting at our Southern border is racist.

The Left thinks that government employees have a constitutional right to talk to five-year-olds about sexuality.

I know, it’s frustrating to me too. To see our country which was founded by geniuses being run by idiots.”

Inflation, Stupidity, and a Brainwashed populous have created the Perfect Financial Storm

We still have the power to stop this neo-Marxist movement by voting for politicians who reject that course. We have the power to hold fast to American values and traditions by casting out the politicians who show even an inkling of wanting to move our country away from them.

When we head to the ballot box, we need to be mindful of the impending storm and, in the vein of ‘hope for the best and prepare for the worst,’ we must vote as if our lives and our country’s future depend on it. Because they do.

The day I look for firearm knowledge from a politician is the day I ask my plumber for critical medical advice!
