It was 34 degrees according to the kitchen thermometer.  It wasn't that cold out at 4:30 this morning.  I put my sweat coat on and took Zeb out.  At 6:30 AM I went outside, and the field looked frosted, I had to see for myself, I walked out to the deer-yard and sure enough the grass was frozen, frosted. Early this year.

It's Jarrod's birthday, he's 40, can you believe it? Happy birthday son!

Over at Jarrod's house Sunday helping out a bit with his Basement project now that his floor is in and walls are insulated, we put up a wall and some wallboard.  Looking good.

Jarrod tore his bicep a few weeks ago, it's starting to get better, he's still wearing a brace so he's one armed at the moment.

The bear has left our feed barrels alone for the past 5 days, hopefully he's moved on for good. A loud "hey bear" and a bright flashlight convinced him to mosey off last time we saw him.

Our pellet stove has been running the past few days, really takes the chill off, we have 4 tons of pellets ready for this winter.  The pellets our usual provider has this year are different than the New England pellets we've purchased the past 3 years. The New England pellets come with an overbag that covers the whole pallet and are then wrapped in saran wrap, these new pellets don't come with an overbag, just a top sheet of plastic and saran wrap, kinda makes it difficult to get to the bags remaining on the pellet, as we'll have to unwrap a tarp over the pellets to get to the remaining bags...

Both Mom and Dad had the Covid last week, both are home recuperating.  Nasty stuff!
