Happy Thanksgiving!

Rose and I wish you all the best

The most enjoyable,  and of course, most delicious Thanksgiving ever.  We have a lot to be thankful for this year!

When we notice the things that we do have, we end up with a lot of the
“best days ever” that otherwise
we might have missed.

I saw this... Chances are good that your Thanksgiving is going to be a disaster—that’s how Thanksgiving is—but the kind of disaster matters. There’s the type of disaster where the turkey gets burned and you forgot to buy potatoes, but everyone laughs and makes pasta and it’s really the best Thanksgiving ever. Then there’s the kind of disaster where cousin Dave's date passes out drunk, your niece locks herself in the bathroom to cry, and someone has to call 911. Whatever happens, roll with the disasters, and keep a light heart and a sense of humor. Hopefully no one will remember the truly bad parts of the day.  I don't think this family has ever had a day that bad...

TRIVIA:  "Jingle Bells" was originally written to be a Thanksgiving song – The classic Christmas carol was not intended to be a Christmas song at all but rather a Thanksgiving tune or a drinking song called "One Horse Open Sleigh," written by James Pierpont in 1857, according to the International Center for American Music blog. However, the song became so popular around the wintry holiday that in 1859 it was reissued under the name "Jingle Bells."

ABCDEFG has the same melody as twinkle twinkle little star, and so does Baa Baa black sheep... And you just sung them both in your head just to see... Din'cha

Rose & I

I have seen enough about how time goes that I now know all this won't last forever... Some day we won't be able to keep up with this old farm, hah,  some days it feels like were already losing the battle, we get frustrated that everything we want to get done simply isn't, faster, faster.

Sometimes we need to slow down and just enjoy the time we have left, catching the joy that's there before it's all gone!  Time tries us, we're not broken by it, not now, not yet, but some day things will change for my Rose and I.

We mark our time here watching the trees, shrubs, critters and plants grow, like children much to fast, some plants get ahead of us because life gets in the way, we find it then takes twice as long as we think it will now, it's sad some how.

Rose and I on the farm in Pepperell, remember buying grain for the cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and goats in 100lb sacks, that's how it came, we'd pick up what we could afford that week in our old pickup then haul the ten to twenty sacks to the second floor of the barn throwing a sack over your shoulder and up a flight of stairs one bag at a time. I don't think I could heave a 100lb sack onto my back today. Today the Grain for the dogs comes in 44lb bags, while the deer grain today comes in 50lb paper sacks that are much easier to handle than the 100lb sacks we hauled a lifetime ago.  Were still moving wood pellets in 40 lb plastic bags to heat this old house.

We chose this life, this path, we walk it now a little more slowly happy with what we built, what we've made Rose and I. There's always more to do, our ever growing to-do lists seem to grow longer year by year, maybe when I retire if I'm not too broken we'll catch up Rose and I...

I've been thinking more and more about retirement lately...

Back to it...

I got my snow blower running again last Saturday, it fired right up 2nd or third pull, I moved it to the shed by the house.  We're ready...

We're cooking a small turkey today, we'd picked up two last week @ .69/lb.  Jimmy says Stop & Shop has birds for .49/lb. nice.

Our crazy Lilacs are all messed up, the warm spell is making them leaf out.

Rose's Christmas cactus is flowering it sits on the old wood cook stove in the kitchen for the holidays, its huge!

We've been gearing up for Thanksgiving hitting a couple different grocery stores. I can't see how folks can afford to shop at a Shaw's, crazy prices.  Saw a package of Armour bacon for $9.98 yikes...

AROUND THE FARM

Rose saw a cottontail rabbit tonight out in the side yard, yay! We thought the varmints had wiped them all out!

There was a 4 point buck out at the deer yard Friday morning, Zeb saw him and looked back at me as he ran off.

Saturday evening a deer huffed/bleated at me from out in the cove.  Really loudly, a gruff gravelly huff, I'd apparently interrupted his corn dinner.

Four inches of snow on Wednesday morning the 22nd by 4AM, it started raining by 5:30am, it'll probably all melt today.  Winston saw his first snow and barked at it not knowing what all the white stuff was, he and Zeb played for a while, then the plow guy came Winston was scared and ran to the back porch while Zebulon barked at him.  Winston stared in awe as the snowplows drove down the highway out back.

Wednesday evening, the yards a slushy mess, Rosie's running out to the deer yard to feed the critters

There's a weird thing going on with Blogger, going between my desktop and my tablet I'm losing stuff, stuff I write on the desktop doesn't show up on the tablet sometimes even with a reload.

Rose has the kitchen all ready lots of snacks for Thanksgiving, the house all gussied up for Christmas.

Winston is doing great on the Radio fence, he's having a blast with his new found freedom.

“Joe Biden’s cake has so many candles on it that it nearly burned down the White House,”

Interestingly, the U.S. Credit Rating has only been cut one other time in history. Care to guess when that was?  2011.
When Joe Biden was Vice President and Barack Hussein Obama was busy destroying this country in much the same way that Joe is doing right now.

HOLY CRAP!

🇺🇸FDIC Bankers Discuss ‘Bail-Ins’, Bank Runs & Market Collapse

They're talking about financial crisis and their lack of faith in our banking system and how to keep the public from freaking out.

Trump kept his documents secured at Mar-a-Lago, under Secret Service protection, while Biden kept his classified docs all over the place and within arm’s reach of his crack-addict son. And speaking of Hunter, there’s evidence that he was using this classified info in some of those overseas business dealings that his dad had never spoken to him about. On top of that, as Matt Margolis reminds us at PJ Media, “Soon after the scandal broke in January, we learned that the documents had been originally discovered before the midterm elections, indicating a cover-up.”

For those of you keeping score at home, that’s 91 felony counts for Donald Trump, and zero for Joe Biden. And one tier of justice for those of us on the Right, and another one for those on the Left.

Immigration.  Present levels of immigration will destroy our country.  And that's no longer a thinly shared belief, as polling demonstrates.  Is there anyone left who does not think that the border is wide open and a significant threat to our security, economy, and even America's prospects?  This was deliberate.  The only question remaining is why?  Was it to help Democrats or to help our enemies?  With an embattled and befuddled Biden, we honestly don't know the answer.

Trump's fight against the swamp and regulatory dysfunction would have continued unabated.  Gradually, the cost of government (as well as the headcount) would have decreased.  We were on a path to fiscal sanity.  In contrast, Democrats fight against small government.

Back in February, former President Barack Obama launched an effort called the “Change Collective.” If you’re not familiar with it now, you probably will be soon. Supporters describe it as a “new community-based leadership initiative” meant to “empower emerging leaders to bring people together.” At the forefront of the effort will be “local changemakers across the country.”

I’ll go out on a limb and say its endgame is the enforcement of a collectivist narrative, the abolition of local control, and the top-down centralized control of all communities. After all, that’s the pattern of every Obama policy, most notably health care and education. …

Currently, the initiative focuses on urban communities, with pilot programs in Chicago, Detroit, and Jackson, Mississippi. But the ultimate goal is to flood the nooks and crannies of all America’s local communities with “changemakers” and “influencers” who have been trained to recruit everybody into accepting a woke narrative and to silence any voice of dissent. That’s always what socialists mean when they claim to “bring people together.”

Constant reformation of the President's comments.
"What the President meant was…"
"I would refer you to "X" for additional comments."

COVID

Dr. McCullough: No One Should Take Another Shot, COVID Vaccines Are Not Safe For Human Use

Americans are pissed off about surviving a pandemic and paying for the privilege: ‘They want these prices to be back where they were’

“Spanish flu” probably started in Kansas soldier barracks and spread due to WW1. The only reason it’s named the Spanish flu is because Spain was the only country that reported on it- many other countries had a media blackout on it.

CLIMATE

Demolishing the Human-Induced “Climate Emergency” Fairy Tale Geologist, Professor Ian Plimer, utterly demolishes the human-induced “climate emergency” fairy tale, in three and a half minutes:
