After Mothers Day

 

Jarrod took us out to a new Mexican restaurant in Goffstown called "La Vaka" for Mothers day great place, great food, a mariachi band walked about playing.

Jarrod is playing Bass for a Metal band "My Last Mile" now, they're playing at a festival up in Maine on Saturday 5/18.  That's Jarrod on the right in the poster below with My Last Mile.

I See an eagle's head in the brush pile, maybe just me but I see it...

Several of the deer are looking pretty beat up this year, not sure if they're just fighting amongst themselves, a bear, or a rough buck.

Things are really starting to bloom around the farm. Our apple trees are blooming!

Smells so sweet around the yard now.

Lilacs can be smelled several spots around the house.

The Strawberry hanger that Jarrod got Rose last year for Mothers day! Red flowers and it's a very prolific berry producer!

I finally put down some grass seed Wednesday evening, 3 or so deer came in Winston wasn't having it and barked at them, I got the dogs into the house.

It was raining on Thursday AM, good for the grass seed

Yup, I'm that old... had a conversation with the younger guys at work about Floppy disks, we were talking about the old tape cartridges we had in storage still, so old now that we don't even have the equipment necessary to read the tapes. 

The conversation devolved to 3 1/2" disks, quickly turned to 5 1/4" disks, I had to tell them about the 8" disks I worked with back in the day, you'd think I had two heads.  

Hah, I installed the first version of Windows 1.0 at work and brought in Version 1.0 of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet program, the finance department was amazed they'd been using Lotus 1-2-3 for years.  I didn't even bring up the DEC PDP 11-53 computer test equipment we used to have to repair on occasion, or the Teletype machine we used to program CNC equipment using punch tapes.

CNC Drill/Router I programmed back in the day...used to drill holes in circuit boards and then Rout out the completed circuit board from the panel.

My dad used to work with punchcards and wrote programs/drivers to those cards, these were then fed into computers. I remember them in the back of the car in shoe-boxes they were stored in.
