Mid January 2026

Rose and I did some food shopping, and hit the grain store, they were out of Wildlife Grains. Great!

Friday saw a Full Moon A Rising

Friday evening I unboxed Rose's new PC and monitor, got it all plugged in and started the setup process, of course being Win11 it needed updates.

Jarrod got me a MIG welder for Christmas, I can't wait to play with it, I'm doing a bunch of reading right now to get up to speed!

Hey, That's Mine!

Saturday January 3rd Rose and I went over to Mom & Dads to drop off some lunches and dinners, noticed on the way home the heater fan would speed up and slow down based on how fast the engine was revving and the headlights would get brighter as we pulled away from a stop sign, ugh, I think it's probably the battery or my alternator that's going.  We made it home OK.

A Big Crash Saturday night at 11:30PM we were in bed and heard skidding and then a loud crash then a second bang, the unmistakable horrific sound of a car crash!  We were up and running moments later, Rose looked out the back window and said the traffic on RT114 was still moving, we got dressed and were out the door with our flashlights 5 minutes later to see if we could see anything.  We saw a truck across Riverdale road sideways with it's emergency flashers on at the end of our driveway. As we got down the end of the driveway there was a Pickup that had been in a very bad crash head on into a tree. (Another pickup arrives 1 minute later that took the driver of the crashed truck loaded him into his truck and backed up Riverdale Road from the crash).  There were pieces of the truck strewn all about, a headlight in the snowbank, tools in the road, numerous chunks of plastic, a case of beer and several empties all over the road, over 100 feet away lay the truck cap and rear window apparently launched off the truck slid down the road.  I called 911, New Boston police said they'd send someone out, 10-15 minutes later the Goffstown Fire Department (Mutual Aid) arrived. Not that many cars driving down Riverdale road this time of night but we directed traffic as cars came down the road sending them back the way they came. Two more firetrucks, an ambulance and a cruiser arrived, New Boston Police removed a rifle from the vehicle, we heard the guy driving the truck lived right up the street, 2-3 more cruisers arrived, we finally walked back to the house around 1:30AM the tow truck was hauling the vehicle away 15 or so minutes later.  A lot of excitement on a Saturday night for sure!

The tree that the truck hit, headlight in the road, the tree didn't move!

Truck cap and rear window launched from the truck a 100' up the road
The front end of the truck, well, what's left of it, hope the guy is OK after a crash like that!

Fledgling Kestrels see a butterfly for the first time

Sunday, lots to do, there's grain to be put away and a bunch of stuff we'd moved to Rose's car around Christmas that needs to be moved to my car.

January 5th and back to work I go, I'm hoping everyone at work that was sick over the holidays is well again!

I'll have to get my car looked at so I don't end up stranded somewhere should the battery or alternator actually die.

Rose and I loaded up the porch with 1/2 ton of pellets.

Monday night we've got snow and then ice coming in.  Not bad, an inch or so of snow with a light ice coating, we didn't lose power.

I received my 5th seed catalog for 2026!

Hello, Garden. It’s nice to see you. It’s been a long time…

I picked up Wildlife Grains specifically Blue Seal Wildlife Grains, is a blend of multiple grain sources coated in molasses and flavored with cherry. This product is designed to attract a wide variety of wildlife species, including deer and other birds. All the wildlife love this stuff.
Saturday Ice, Ice, everywhere.  I need to change the batteries in a couple of the Blink cameras, the deer have been especially active the past week.

Rose is made up a great ham and pea soup on Sunday, we bagged and froze the leftovers, we'll make a bigger batch next time, stocking up the freezers.  Johnny Searle's Kale soup is next on the list, then chili, Yum!

I cleaned the pellet stove while Rose finished putting all the Christmas decorations and ornaments away, we took the second Christmas tree down to the workshop storage room, the house looks funny now with all the Christmas garb put away.

I fed the deer while Rose brought Frosty down to the shop.

It's still a skating rink here, we only go out wearing cleats/crampons on our boots.

After watching the sun patterns all winter I've picked out the spot we'll move the solar panel array to this spring. The spot by the pussy willows will get all day sun without shadows disrupting the panel output.

Tuesday 3AM a Coyote came through the deer yard, we were just saying we hadn't seem them in a while.

Fox came through Wednesday morning.

This speed reading training starts at 300wpm and end at 900wpm

Thursday we had to go and meet with surveyors downtown to review their new land plot map of our property, based on the new map our property size grew which would see our property taxes go up.  We had our property deed and our original property maps.  The folks there were helpful and it looks like we were able to resolve the property map issue.

Saturday 1-3" of snow, hopefully it'll stick to the ice on the ground.

Rose made meatloaf, my fav, ok one of them anyway!

Sunday plow guy plowed the driveway at 3:30AM this morning, the dogs were baring loudly, I didn't hear anything going on so I got up to see what the fuss was all about.  It was the plow guy, by the time I got downstairs the dogs had settled down.  We're supposed to get another inch this morning and 3 more inches tonight.  We've only been plowed two times this winter so far so we're still ahead of the game.

Sunday Rose and I are making Johnny Searle's Kale Soup!

Thinking we'll make a chili next weekend.

We'll have to see the timing of the 3" of snow coming in so we can snow-blow.

Why is it that every legacy media outlet in the country is not playing montages of these leftists calling for violence and condemning it? Why are Democrat leaders silent as the base of their party calls for the murder of federal law enforcement? Because this is exactly the political atmosphere that they have been working to build for years.

The left is willing to see violence in our streets because they care so much more about illegal aliens than they care about you. They need illegals to stay in the country and vote to allow Democrats to stay in power.

“Trump does not need congressional approval for this type of operation [in Venezuela]. Presidents, including Democratic presidents, have launched lethal attacks regularly against individuals. President Barack Obama killed an American citizen under this ‘kill list’ policy. If Obama can vaporize an American citizen without even a criminal charge, Trump can capture a foreign citizen with a pending criminal indictment without prior congressional approval.” —constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley

“Nicolás Maduro had his chance, just like Iran had their chance — until they didn’t and until he didn’t. He [fooled] around and he found out.” —Secretary of War Pete Hegseth

“We will secure our borders, we will stop the terrorists, we will crash the cartels, and we will defend our citizens against all threats, foreign and domestic.” —President Donald Trump

CBS and much of the MSM-industrial complex functioned as little more than PR firms for the highest bidder. We saw this with the Hunter Biden laptop story, the COVID origins, Joe Biden’s mental health, and the list goes on. Quite frankly, the American people dumped MSM many years ago in favor of alternative outlets.

Things are getting very tense in the Middle East.  The Islamic radicals who are ruling Iran believe that the United States and Israel intend to use the mass protests that have been going on for nearly two weeks to try to overthrow their regime.

  • If Ayatollah Khamenei and his top advisers reach a point where they are convinced that the Iranian government could actually fall, there is no telling what they might decide to do.  Meanwhile, President Trump has declared that the U.S. is ready to take military action if the Iranians continue to kill more protesters, and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that there will be “very severe” consequences for Iran if Israel is attacked.  If either Khamenei, Trump or Netanyahu pulls the trigger, the Middle East will erupt in flames.
  • The mass protests in Iran keep growing, and on Wednesday, there were reports of “security forces retreating in the face of fearless, unarmed crowds” in some cities…
  • On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, the nationwide uprising in Iran entered its eleventh consecutive day, marking a significant escalation in the struggle against the ruling dictatorship. As the sun set on Wednesday, the regime’s suppression apparatus appeared overstretched, with reports emerging from multiple provinces of security forces retreating in the face of fearless, unarmed crowds.

THE END!
