SUNDAY - Our first significant snowstorm of the year

I snowblowed the front yard, the deer yard, paths to the sheds and shop.

Rose made a big batch of Johnny Searle's Kale Soup,  it came out amazing, Linguica, Chorizo, and Kielbasa, Kale, beans and potato with a beef shank bone,  YUM!

 

Last Sunday into Monday morning we got another 4" of snow so we have to snowblow again..  Rose snowblowed the front yard I did the side hills.

 

It's supposed to get brutal cold 5 degrees Tuesday night, it was 6 degrees by 9PM,  -4° on Friday, and -8° on Saturday night 

 

Rose and I went out at 9PM Monday evening to see the aurora borealis, or northern lights, nope, nothing to see from here. 

 

Wednesday AM -2 degrees.

 

WISDOM

- There are two ways to be rich: the first is to have everything you want, and the second is to be satisfied with what you have.

- One of the problems in our society is that people don't want to be useful, but important.

- The purpose of the dream is to help clear the mess from the mind and provide temporary relief from a stressful life.

- A person needs 3 things to be truly happy: someone to love, something to do and something to hope for.

I'm turning 66 today!

 

 

SATURDAY -  The winds pick up, sending in bitterly cold air tonight into Saturday. Wind chills could approach -15 to -25 degree wind chills. The winds lighten some Saturday night but still quite cold on Sunday.
