We actually went to the mall on Saturday, I regret to inform you that nothing much has changed there other than the prices of everything have gone up!  We stopped by Texas Roadhouse for a late lunch because Onion Blossoms exist... Yum!

We've seen 4 deer nightly the past few days, they've got it rough traversing the frozen landscape it's literally a skating rink out there.

Those hoping for temperatures to warm up soon will have to wait a bit for that to happen, as the Farmers’ Almanac predicts unseasonably cold weather for much of the country, along with plenty of precipitation—or what they’re referring to as the “soggy, shivery spring ahead.”

We went to see Jason play for the JV Hillsborough Hillcats basketball team, he plays for the Varsity team too, they won the JV game we saw last week.  It was a great game the crowd was rowdy!  'Atta Boy Jason!

8 deer came in Monday evening, not sure where they picked up one more, we've only seen the 7 up to now.

I managed to pull an dumb move yesterday out feeding the deer, my feet completely slid out from under me on the ice, I was absolutely amazed at just how hard I hit the ground... I rolled and slowly got to my feet.  I've bruised a few ribs pretty good, tough night sleeping, I don't think I broke anything, it hurts if I cough though and have a nice lump on my shin... Oh what fun

The Speaker of the Russian parliament Vyacheslav Volodin branded US President Joe Biden a “terrorist” after a report by veteran US investigative journalist Seymour Hersh blamed Washington for sabotaging the Nord Stream pipelines last year. When Trump left office in January 2021, the inflation rate was 1.7 percent.

The inflation rate in December was 6.5 percent. That is at least a decrease from the 40-year-high of 9.1 percent in June following a Democratic deficit spending spree and Biden’s decision to curtail domestic oil production.

Wages grew at 4.4 percent in January, which was over two percent less than inflation meaning Americans’ buying power continues to decrease under Biden.

“Over the past two years — the entirety of Biden’s presidency — wages have cumulatively risen by 10 percent while inflation has risen cumulatively by 14 percent. So wages have trailed inflation for this period as well,” Politifact’s Louis Jacobson reported.

Jobs were not “hemorrhaging” when Biden took office, nor was the economy in bad shape.

Recently published data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) shows that there has not been global warming for the past eight years. Simplified, it looks something like this. “We don’t need this” (which, by the way, often turns out to be pure hypocrisy) becomes “No good people need this,” which eventually turns into, “We need the government to make this illegal.”

Yikes, a large plain Pizza in town is now $14...   A small pizza is $10.00.

We used to go to C&S Pizza in Pepperell a small cheese was $.99 ea back in the 70s.   Damn we're getting old...

Rosie is packing up the Christmas ornaments this weekend, I cleared the snow off of the pellets and moved a 1/2 ton to the dog house porch.

Speaking of expensive, drinks at the local Chinese food place for a Kahlua drink is $9.00 now, I guess we're drinking at home now...

Now for some obligatory Deer Pics, the three deer cam in early Sunday evening, one lagging behind so she's not in any of these pics.  They didn't stick around long, I was making them nervous.  They are much more carefree with Rose.

We had four visitors Saturday evening, two large does and the much smaller twins from last year.

Woke up on Saturday Feb 4th to -14 degrees without wind chill.  yikes...

We lost power 3x on Saturday, it came back on right away each time though, I really didn't feel like starting the genny up.

Sunday morning early it felt warmer at around nine degrees, I sat in the silence, enjoying the stillness of the day before the world wakes, I listen to the water flowing over the dam on the other side of RT114 before day breaks, the wind has gone... 

The Ides of January

Jarrod was nice enough to come down Friday evening to plow out the front lawn so we can still drive right to the front door! Likely saved us 2+ Hours of additional snow blowing.

More snow Sunday evening another 8 inches or so, lots of trees bent some snapped mostly pines from the heavy burden of snow. All of the birches bent completely to the ground, the snow is supposed to continue until Monday evening, they'll be cleanup in the spring for sure.

Roof Raked the house removing probably 20 tons of snow, we snow blow'd twice today, we got another 12" on top of the 7-8" we got Friday... sheesh...  this is enough to make ya want go to Florida.   Pepperell MA. only got 2" of fluffy white crap. 

The snow continued to build, the carport in the field has collapsed onto the boat, I'll have to go out with the roof rake and take some of the load off...

Rose and I went up on the workshop roof on Saturday, the sliding snow ripped out some of the fasteners holding the tin roof down, we screwed all the loose edges down it should hold us until warmer weather. Those March winds howl around here in the spring...

ECONOMIC MADNESS

Today, close to half of all Americans are living on the edge financially. For many, it is out of necessity, but for others it is a conscious choice. Way too many people out there see no need to build up a substantial financial cushion because they have a tremendous amount of faith in the economic system. They don’t think that things will ever get too bad in this country, and so there is no urgency to put funds away for a rainy day. But even if authorities could somehow prevent an economic collapse from ever happening again, individual emergencies are taking place all around us on a constant basis. Cars break down, people get sick, and accidents happen.

Unfortunately, most Americans are completely unprepared for some sort of an emergency to strike. In fact, a brand new survey has discovered that just 41 percent of Americans could cover a $1,000 emergency expense using their current savings…

Unfortunately, an increasing number of experts are warning that our luck is about to run out. In fact, the head of the IMF recently warned that we could potentially be facing another economic collapse and “Great Depression”.

But despite all of the evidence to the contrary, the irrational optimists would still have us believe that America has entered a new era of tremendous economic prosperity. I actually wish that was true.

“Under no circumstances should Republicans vote to cut a single penny from Government-run Medicare or Social Security to help pay for Brain-Dead Biden’s reckless spending spree, which is more reckless than anybody’s ever done or had in the history of our country,” Trump said Friday in a video posted to TRUTH Social. “We absolutely need to stop Biden’s out-of-control spending. The pain should be borne by Washington bureaucrats, not by hard-working American families and American seniors.”

 “Cut the hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars going to corrupt foreign countries. Cut the mass releases of illegal aliens that are depleting our social safety net and destroying our country. We are literally committing national financial suicide, but many people don’t seem to care.

Living standards have declined dramatically in recent years thanks to inflation and the continued control over people. The media and rulers continue to put the blame everywhere except where it should be. On them.

A simple lie is the only thing left that’s allowing the masters/ruling class to continue to control the slave class. And they are watching our standard of living decrease and laughing from their ivory towers as their enforcers and tax agents continue to steal from their fellow human beings.

On Tuesday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken issued an order banning the use of Times New Roman font in all Inept State Department communications.

Why is Times New Roman, which was created in 1932, suddenly so problematic? If you guessed it was because the Biden administration determined the font was racist, I wouldn’t blame you for thinking so. Given recent developments, it seemed inevitable that someone would declare that all serif fonts are tools of white supremacy. But, believe it or not, for once, the decision actually had to do with something entirely different.

The Inept State Department is ditching Times New Roman out of a desire to be more “inclusive” to “employees who are visually impaired or have other difficulties reading,” according to the Washington Post.

They have lies that make no sense like modeling the entire political spectrum as “Liberal-Conservative”; claims that fascism belongs on the “far right” or that anarchism belongs on the “far left.” Repeating the same lies until they can bluff their way into pretending it’s the truth.

During her 18-minute speech, Kamala Harris decried Florida’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, saying the proponents of this lifesaving legislation were “extremists.” It was an odd choice of words to say the least, given that her Democrat Party ardently believes in a woman’s right to an abortion at any stage of pregnancy, right up until the moment of delivery. And she’s calling our side the extremists?  She also tried to appropriate the Declaration of Independence for her pro-abortion argument, but in order to do so, consider the violence she had to do to that document’s most memorable passage: “We are each endowed,” she said, “with the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

Huh? Who, exactly, did our Founders believe endowed those rights? And what happened to the first and foremost of those rights — the right without which the others are meaningless? What happened to the right to life?

This butchery of our nation’s founding document is, sadly, not a new occurrence. The Democrats have been writing its precise language out of their prepared remarks for years — and willfully so, not just due to the demented ramblings of their party’s standard-bearer.

COVID Madness

US drugmaker Pfizer attempted to “bully the Indian government” into granting it indemnity from legal action over its Covid-19 vaccine, Electronics and Technology Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar has claimed. The vaccine shot was ultimately never approved in India.

“Just to remind all Indians, that Pfizer tried to bully the government of India into accepting conditions of indemnity,” Chandrasekhar tweeted on Friday. The minister then accused three prominent opposition leaders of “pushing foreign vaccines during Covid.”

 

It's a clean up weekend 

We're cleaning up on projects we didn't complete during the week.

Pellet stove clean out, vacuuming out the interior and the heat exchange panels inside, a necessary evil when you are burning it to keep the heat output of the pellet stove high.

We're still amazed a the sheer number of trees down on the property, wet weather, straight line winds and wet low lying areas probably all contributed to the downed trees.   We'll be spending some quality time with the chainsaw and contributing a lot to the burn pile for sure later this year.

Up to Henniker Feed for course cracked corn for the deer, and Tractor supply for Dog food on Sunday,  they are out of the pouches we've been supplementing the dogs food with.  They did have cheaper suet cakes at TS so we got a case of those.

While we didn't win the 1.35 Billion dollar top prize in MegaMillions, we won $2.00 so there's that...  We won $4.00 on Power ball on Saturday, it's up to 416 million, now so we'll get a couple of tickets just in case.

Inflation is over, next comes recession and possibly deflation.

Food prices climbed 0.3%, the smallest gain in nearly two years, after rising 0.5% in the prior month. The cost of food consumed at home increased 0.2%, also the least since March 2021. Fruit and vegetable prices fell as did those for dairy products, but meat, poultry and fish cost more. Egg prices surged 11.1% because of avian flu.

According to this farmer … the producers can’t cover their costs, so there are now millions of fewer hens, and many millions of fewer eggs produced PER DAY.

We Won’t Be Fooled Again – Inflation Is Most Definitely Not “Under Control”

We have entered a significant economic downturn, so it was inevitable that the annual rate of inflation would start to moderate.  But as I will explain below, that doesn’t mean that inflation is now “under control”.  The real rate of inflation is much higher than we are being told, and people all over the country are being absolutely crushed by the rising cost of living.

Still, inflation remains about three times higher than the pre-pandemic average, underscoring the persistent financial burden placed on millions of U.S. households by high prices.

 

Experts at the conservative think tank analyzed consumer prices and interest rates and found in their latest report released Thursday that the average American household has lost the equivalent of $7,400 in annual income since Biden’s inauguration Jan. 20, 2021. The income loss represents an increase of $200 from September, when the think tank’s research found a $7,200 decline in annual income for the average American household dating back to the start of Biden’s term.

The Lefts Green Agenda: Even the EPA says gas stoves “burn very cleanly, emitting very little pollution.” Furthermore, according to the International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood, a far more comprehensive study than the one the CPSC is using, there is “no evidence of an association between the use of gas as a cooking fuel and either asthma symptoms or asthma diagnosis.”

For the Biden administration, however, The Science™ is always a moving target.

Indeed it is, and though some Democrats tried to couch their “no” vote in feigned concern over transporting a “struggling baby” to a hospital that may be hours away, nearly every Democrat took the side of death without dignity, the side of infanticide. That includes the “good Catholic” Nancy Pelosi, who condemned Republicans’ “extreme anti-choice agenda,” which she claimed threatens “the freedom to access reproductive health services — without fear of violence, intimidation or harassment.”

The ultimate right to declassify documents belongs to the president, not the vice president, Trump has the right to declassify virtually any documents he pleased while he was in office whereas Biden, as a mere vice president, had no authority to declassify them.  

Third, since all presidents are protected by the Secret Service for the remainder of their lives after they leave office, and since the documents in Trump’s possession were at his Mar-a-Lago compound, Trump’s walled compound with locked gates and rooms in the presence of the Secret Service, those documents were extremely well protected. 

By contrast, since Biden’s classified and top-secret documents were kept at think tank at the University of Pennsylvania funded by $22 million from anonymous sources in China, there is plenty of reason to worry that the Biden document’s may have been accessed by China, the greatest threat to the U.S., according to FBI Director Christopher Wray. And they just found more documents in Joe's garage...  lol

When Biden was addressing the matter on Wednesday, he stumbled, and nobody caught it. He admitted that documents were discovered in his New Jersey office, making it the third location. Where does it end? One question I cannot believe has gone unasked is if Biden does not know how the documents got into his home office, garage, and Penn-Biden office, then who put them there. We need names and answers, and they are not being asked or answered.

He rightly pointed to the irony that a guy “on ’60 Minutes’ that was so concerned about President Trump’s documents” now has been revealed to have kept secret documents “for years out in the open in different locations,” none of them secure.

Now to the double standard: “Did he utilize the Justice Department to raid President Trump?” And: “You watched them leak photos of files of President Trump; where’s the photos of President Biden’s documents?”

That is: “Why would they go after a political opponent that way, why would they leak photos and say all this, why would they go through the former first lady’s clothing, why would they go through his son’s clothing, why would they raid as they did?”

Biden was only ex-vice president when he carried off his secrets — meaning he had zero right to do so. Yet he asked on “60 Minutes” of Trump’s docu-mess, “How could anyone be that irresponsible?”
